Mostly for my own benefit because I've boxed myself in a little on structure. Currently looking at needing four (!) rookie priced forwards to fill out my side. There's 13 up to Allen with the green tick though, so it's not all bad. Just going through them in turn...
Long - nope
Davey - nope. I know people are keen for the M/F swing but I don't value it that much. Obviously happy to correct if he looks better than I expect early doors.
Comben - probably too reliant on Goldstein actually being out of favour, which seems crazy right now. Does play WC though, whose second ruck options haven't been great. Sneaky F7 maybe.
Laurie - don't know enough, but the Demons fans here seemed to think he was well off the pace.
Chandler - few years in the system now. Named on field probably a sign of better than expected JS.
Greene - everyone's F8
Bruce - Very interesting. Could definitely be tempted.
Pedlar - don't know enough
Esava - Probably the biggest structural decision. I'll probably trade a ruck with info if they go down so the cover may not matter as much as it initially seemed.
King - being slept on a bit? See also Allen. Problem is they're spike merchants where you'd want them on the bench.
Sheezel - the people's favourite. Thinking about the likes of Rowe and Rachele in the preceding years who were popular picks despite being small forwards in poor sides. Both of those were just okay picks, not total busts, but made reasonable coin. Don't mind the pick, but don't love it - and I think at the price I've got to love it.
Fantasia - would be hilarious if this ends up being the way to go!
Allen - North with no McKay? Yes please. Also offers the enticing option of being an easy correction to anyone else on this list if it looks like it's not working.
Not included: Phillipou, Caminiti, Sturt, or anyone else currently on an extended bench.
Think I've just talked myself into Allen F5
