This is the question I’m trying to figure out. Is he worth the extra money. The split in the practice game was almost exclusively wing though wasn’t it? Very few minutes in the “pocket” from my recollection. I will admit he’s not someone I watched carefully as I was certain we’d get a forward line that didn’t need to include him.

Appreciate the answer.
It was more so wing than small forward. Wing for the first 3'ish quarters and then forward late. There was talk of GC mixing a few more players through their midfield & he'd be a perfect on-field swap for Touk. Surely he gets more of a look inside also with any injuries to their starting mids.

Giving myself a couple of rounds to look at Davey. He's a massive sub risk but at his price, that's not as bad as with some of our other rookies. It's just that, which rookie do I cull for him? I then need to have the discipline to not spend the savings so that he can be corrected if needs be.

Davey should at least start out as a bench rookie so I can wait on him but I agree - he's a chance of an 80 or two with that soft draw
Essendon desperately need class. He'll play as long as his fitness is holding up I reckon. Like all of the 18yo rookies you're just hoping he gets 6 or 7 weeks before being managed. I expect even Ashcroft could be a sub-risk at some stage. No reason to think Davey is any different

Hopper's game, albeit one, made me second guess mid priced risks. I've faded Flanders and Bruhn but kept F Callahan. Hard to really know which will take the step, fair bit of luck. Plenty of mid price correction trades come round 3 I reckon. It's fun to take risks of a few though.
Hoppers game has me regretting not looking more closely at that price bracket. I'd completely missed L. Ash being there. Reckon he is a massive chance to be the one that got away

Anyone else much less happy with their team, compared to this time last year?
I certainly am, having finally made to PL2 - and having no time to prepare. Feel like I’ve got here and life has intervened majorly.

I’m any case - it’s a game. Some of us have more time to spend on it and others less. And there’s the huge elephant in the room of luck. Just happy to be part of such a fun site whether things go well or not. 🤟

If you are going to do that, you should Comben your emergency instead of Greene, just in case ...
I see what you're getting at but I'm not sure how I could possibly take advantage of a bumper score with a doughnut. Ratugolea will be locked out so I can't swap Madden out of R3 and get a F/M zero, so the alternative will be to start with two zeroes. What would Comben need to score to lock that structure in?

Still, having said all that, I'll give it a shot.

Getting Cold on Bruhn, looking at the Cats side i cannot see how he kees his place unless long term injury.
Who pushes him out? They clearly Don’t rate Parfitt, Menegolas cooked and Duncan won’t be playing significant mid minutes anymore.

If you think he’s playing mostly mid, they’ve got their best midfield available and he’s in the side.
