What to do with Briggs is my big question this week.
Keep him and trade English? Or trade Briggs?
Oliver is coming in regardless. If English goes out I am able to upgrade Cogs to Trac.
Otherwise it would to Sheez/ Cogs to someone coming off the bye around the same price + $50k.

Love watching the Aaron Hall journey - just read the NM Board VFL thread and man he's not popular. Read through the thread and thought he never touched the ball, one poster commenting - "He's like the plague Aaron Hall, where ever he goes, bad s#@t happens" and another - "Aaron Hall’s level is retirement and kicking the ball in the backyard with his kids"

Had a look at the stats sheet and he found plenty of it with 37 disposals -

Same for me. A Gawn slingshot on the cards, but he’s had some start.

With Sheldrick, good game, but are we worried with Mills returning soon?

At least with Swans unlikely to make the 8 you would think some of these players may get more opportunity
Not sure how the Swans play this, Sheldrick doesnt really have the tank to be anything other than a stoppage mid in short sharp bursts, he was spent late in the game hence the low TOG.

Gut feel is he probably gets relegated to the sub with Mills coming back in but we'll see.

For those minds brighter than mine is there a way to trade all of Cincotta, Sheezel and Ford to Maric, Cameron and Dawson?

Struggling with DPP. Think I can make it work if I sub out Sheezel for Cogs but would then want Sheezel fwd to swing witb HH A03D7B7F-0EFB-4437-AFE7-76BA33E792B6.jpeg

Unfortunately you won't be able to trade Cincotta, Sheezel & Ford for those desired targets. It can be done with Cogs instead of Sheezel, however Sheezel will have to remain in DEF unless you trade in another DEF.

Melbourne midfield star Clayton Oliver could be ruled in or out of Thursday’s blockbuster clash with Geelong as soon as Tuesday, but is no certainty to return from injury.
Demons coach Simon Goodwin revealed the no-risk approach on Monday morning as he confirmed his team would travel to Geelong on Wednesday and train on the Cats’ home ground the day before the match for the first time, treating it “just like any other away game” in the hope of enhancing their preparation.

Oliver spent five days in hospital with an infected blister after recovering from a hamstring injury, and while Goodwin was “hopeful” for a return against the Cats, he wasn’t prepared to lock it in.

Melbourne was set to train on Monday after players had a four-day break across their bye weekend and Goodwin was not ready to declare either Oliver or Harrison Petty, who is coming off a foot injury, would definitely play the Cats.

“We’ll know a bit more today where’s at, both physically and whether he’s ready to perform at the level,” Goodwin said on Monday morning.

“He’s progressing well, we’re hopeful. Both he and Harrison Petty are in the same position.

“We’re hopeful but not certain. We need to make sure they train and pull up well. We’re not declaring them at this point.”

Goodwin said the five-day stint in hospital for Oliver, who was put through a rigorous training session on the MCG after his team’s King’s Birthday win over Collingwood, had impacted the on-baller.

“Spending five days in hospital isn’t ideal,” he said.

“It is about performance, making sure they are ready to perform and we won’t take any risks with any players.”

Melbourne is going the extra mile to prepare for the Cats, changing the dimensions of their oval at Casey Fields to match GMHBA Stadium in Geelong.

Following that the squad will travel to Geelong on Wednesday and stay overnight to put themselves in the best position for success.

The Demons have lost four of the past five clashes against the Cats in Geelong.

“We’ve played down there a lot in the last four of five years, we’ve had some success, but we’ve also had some poor performances,” Goodwin said.

“We want to train down there, get used to the environment. We’re going to leave no stone unturned.”

Melbourne is currently third on the AFL ladder while Geelong are in 10th with just one win in their past five games.

Yeah I think I'll save the cash and take a lower priced rookie if available which allows me another final upgrade next week with Oliver and Sinclair rounding out the team.

200k for fringe players feels alot and likely means you need to use one extra trade to finish a side, as well as Robertson,Windhager and Sheldrick played I'm probably going to let them all go.
Yep it is but the problem is we need to lock in some profits to get an upgrade & there is no other rookies that seem to be appearing. Tsatas from Essendon could debut soon but he's $189k as well
