I get the issue. Appreciate tough call, think sometimes though our fears can cause us to jump at shadows. Wait and see if he is selected and how confident they speak of him playing. If he is a test on the day then sure, trade away. Look at how many traded Sean Darcy even though they knew he would ton up against Eagles. I would wait, give Gawn two weeks to come down in price and sideways Witts then.
Thanks for your input :)

I agree, I might be a bit rash in my thoughts. I will hold off. It's upgrade season, and I have Saad, Green, and potentially Witts to cover, so I am somewhat trying to bandaid the situation to at least stay with the pack, rather than fall behind. I'll be patient ;)

Todd Goldstein's 300th game this round. Was the top SC ruckman a few years ago, remember VCing him one Friday night against Essendon where he scored a 221. Champion player and could have left the Roos for a shot at a premiership but stuck with them. Hope the Roos get up for him.

That particularly game is firmly entrenched in @IDIG memory, as well as many fellow SCS friends who were present at that now infamous gathering!

Six of them and no 50 for "dissent". Should be a 300 metre penalty.
They were pointing to the other umpire who had called "touched - play on" but the Saints umpire called it a mark.

As it turns out, the Saints umpire was right as well as being totally deaf on account of it being clearly heard on every speaker except for the one in his ear. The brains trust commentators missed it too but seem to be under some kind of edict to never admit that the budgies messed up.

Agree that the story is positive, however with GC playing late Sunday it is just too risky to keep holding him. Apparently from Gawn and Grundy, there is no one else to bring in after he plays.
Sam Draper is coming off 2 tonnes, including one against Grundy and will be rucking against Frampton on Monday. Another tonne and he'll make you 100k if thats your thing. Nice fallback option anyway for if Witts doesn't get up
