Fwd upgrade this week so probably either cogs or gulden. Not sure which at this stage.

Setterfield up to a Touk/Clarry next week. Time to get a fwd rookie score off the ground

Early thinking is to (reluctantly) keep Sprayshaw and hope he comes around.
Therefore I’ll trade Ginbey, Baker and Mackenzie for Sinclair, Johnson and Roberts. Strengthen the backline with a well priced Sinclair. (Alternative is Cogs).

Touk vs Neale vs Laird as a trade in target? Absolutely taking one of them this week.
Going by fixture:

Touk: Kangas, Tigers, Dees, Eagles. 3/4 brilliant matchups.
Laird: Hawks, Pies, Cats, Saints. A pretty meh run; could cop a couple of tags, though you'd think Dawson would be first in line for that. Tougher matches too,
Neale: Giants, Dockers, Blues, Dons. I'd say about 50/50 easier v harder matchups

For me Touk is the frontrunner.

My understanding is that due to the Monday and Tuesday games this round, the Monday final teams are not out till 4.30pm AEDT and Tuesday is not till Monday at 6.20pm. So if you have trades or rookie selections that swing on Dees, Tigers, Pies or Bombers you may wish to keep that in mind.

Prior to trades already had 250k in the bank. Was originally thinking of bringing in Sinclair, still has a b/e of 113 though. Oliver's b/e of 168 is still high, Neale's b/e is 90 and 62k cheaper, i think i have to bring Neale in this week.

Will most likely go Mackenzie, N.Long, Chandler to Roberts, Johnson, Neale.

Really don't want to trade Mackenzie who i still think will score good and eventually make more cash, but this way i still retain Ashcroft, Baker, Setterfield & Davey who still has more cash to make. Maybe Baker instead of Mackenzie even though Mackenzie's b/e is 89, could ride it out, he's a ball winner and will score decent i think if not given the sub vest.

Pencilled in :-

Ginbey - > Johnson
Mackenzie - > Roberts
Cole - > Miller

Leaves both Sheezel & Ziebell temporarily in defence and Chandler , Phillips , Greene @ F4-F6 which doesn't look ideal

Round 6 target will be Day

Genuine chance I boost and go:
Hewett, Baker, Madden to Roberts, Johnson, Williams.
After this week the only rookie on the bubble I like is Seamus Mitchell. In the state leagues there is very little rookie priced players performing well. I did a review of the VFL/WAFL performances in the rookie discussion thread if you want to check it out. I think we have a significant lack of rookies problem coming up.
