I'm up to version 56 and I'm confident I don't have the team that'll start round 1. But hey, it was fun.....every year I say I won't do this and every year I do this! 😏
This is the most enjoyable time of the year with Supercoach. Can pick anyone you like with no consequences and you also have unlimited trades.

I have 15 sub $200k players playing in Round 1...only 4 of them are defenders and one of them is the unpopular lock down Cole (the others being Michalanney, Constable and Ginbey).

Teams will probably need 2 of Wilmot, McKenna, Wagner, Weddle and Chesser to play...right now that's not looking promising.
It was really noticeable last year that Brisbane really lacked someone coming out of defence that had some pace/ give them some run & carry to break lines to open things up for them in transition hence why they were so keen to get McKenna. Can't see Answerth getting picked over him, Starcevich is their lockdown defender & then you have Rich & Coleman as elite kicks in the back half but aren't quick.Wilmot has been part of the wing & half back rotation in the A team throughout their match sims. Interestingly it was McCarthy & Ah Chee in the B team for those so I think Wilmot is ahead of them in the pecking order ... I hope so anyway :p:LOL:

Anyone else having issues with Supercoach support team. We have a SC keeper draft league we set it for 24 hour time limit for a pick. The system set's it 3 minute's when the draft starts. So we pause the draft and send email to support and they don't respond.

They can take awhile to respond, in my experience it's usually a day or more.

One of Wilmot/McKenna will play. Can't see Brisbane luring McKenna back to Australia just to play reserves.

Weddle has been talked up the club. Hawthorn traded up to nab him and with an AFL ready body they will be keen to give him plenty of opportunities.

Similarly with Chesser if fit will be West Coast's R1 side.

Agreed. I think both McKenna & Wilmot are ahead of a few on that predicted lineup and are both a good chance for Round 1.

Also think there's a good chance the Rayner in defence experiment sticks. Not saying he stays there all season but I definitely wouldn't be surprised if that's where he is Round 1 playing as the 3rd tall. I'm pretty sure Gardiner is still not in full training and maybe doubtful for Round 1.

So possible Round 1 line-up could be something like:
Rich Andrews Payne
McKenna Rayner Starcevich
McCluggage Neale Wilmot
Bailey Hipwood McCarthy
Gunston Daniher Cameron
McInerney Dunkley Ashcroft
I/C: Coleman Berry Zorko ??

That last bench spot and the sub then goes to 2 of - Lyons, Robertson, AhChee, Prior, Answerth, Lohmann, Sharp

Has Rayner had a growth spurt ?

I know the game has changed , but if he is playing as the 3rd tall at 1.87 m

Same height as Doedee though so maybe.

Haha yea maybe stretching the word "tall" but Doedee same height and Sicily only 2cms taller, so maybe not a crazy stretch? But from everything I've read in reports from training/match sims I do think it's that defacto "tall" role they have him down back to play.

Didn't realise that about Sicily , I guess if teams are playing zonal defence it doesn't really matter on their height.

Fast ball doesn't exactly encourage pin point delivery into the forward lines earlier , teams seem more about creating space behind the last defender and trying to utilise that then keeping the ball inside F50 if they are not scoring.

Read similar reports here and elsewhere as well so maybe it is going to happen.

Think I read somewhere that they are not expecting Adams to play all season so need some changes.

Hopefully some of their mids have learnt to 2 way run over summer , be a shame if they don't take advantage of their "window" , talented team.

Prediction Round 1 teams in the lead-up to practice matches...you'd want to make sure you had a back-up plan to your rookie heavy backline...I count a lot of rookies *just* missing out

Great work

Certainly interesting to see

Might be a bit more realistic to use as a starting point until we get further information

Looks like :-

D: Jones , Marchbank , Cole , Ginbey * , Michalanney

M: Ashcroft , Mackenzie , McLean * , Philiipou * , Phillips , Hewett , Constable *

R: Ratugolea *

F: Hill , Allen , Fantasia , Sheezel , Daniels (injury concern) , King , Chandler (sub) , Greene , van Rooyen

Lighter forward might be more favourable than lighter in defence

The waiting game continues
