What are people's thoughts on henshall? How many minutes will he get per game. I think there will be games where webster will be off and he could possibly get 20 minutes. Also robertson from sydney. Anybody have thoughts on his role this season?

Henshall getting 20 would be gold!

Very hard to say what happens with both Henshall & Pepper this season, Rillie likes to play a tight rotation... but he needs to start playing these kids, especially Henshall or he will leave.

Cotton will still be a heavy minutes guy, especially as he's apparently the fittest player in the league. So expect no change there.

The Cats are light on at the PG position and Webster does have his games where he gets into foul trouble so it's all in Henshall's hands to perform well when given the opportunity.

Liking this structure. Two avenues into all doubles for RD2 whilst parking Armstrong for RD3. Robertson/Henshall type the only player sub $100,000 and can trade Wisekamp for anyone (double, cash gen or both) in RD3.
I changed mine around too, and may do a few more times before tip off

I think this is a good play. I've been thinking of starting with Cotton, Magnay, etc, with lower priced bench spots, but what if one of my upcoming DGW players get injured? I'll have to trade them out and keep a Cotton/Magnay, which going into a DGW could be interesting.
My idea would be to trade both Cotton/Magnay out RD2 and pick 2 DGW players.

One way is probably safer the the other. But is it the way to start?

Was easy to exploit last season since coaches disregarded their bench and tried to fit loopholes in or cheap players without sufficient consideration to their minutes, role and that 50% of the bench scores added to our weekly total. If those lower priced bench spots are not capable of making cash or not scoring then they are of no use and remember that everyone starts at zero so last season doesn’t matter as you may end up paying a premium for lower production.

For example:
Cotton+ Magnay= $765,900
VS
Walton Jr + Hurt= $633,900

Two extra matches over the opening two rounds for a saving of approx $130k. Whilst simplistic, for the hypothetical let’s say everyone scores at their prior season average/priced at:
C & M= 125.8
VS
W & H= 156
Then add in the points received from the cash saving on top, etc

Potentially flip the SEM/Double duo in RD3 for one or both of Cotton and Magnay and ride their upcoming doubles. The trouble for RD3 trades is the change in fixture for some teams whilst trying to grab the best cash generators missed that are on the bubble whilst also possibly looking ahead to the next few rounds and cashing out the RD2 doubles that have had a price change (if needed).

Flexibility needs to be maintained, so a rough plan should be in place but avoid getting set to a particular course of action.
Finding a balance between doubles and singles is key as not to be overexposed. Plan for the worst in that the player on a double needs to be kept for at least a few more rounds than planned. If you are not confident on them long term, that sounds warning signs. For example, what happens if one of your other selections gets off to a poor start, injured/suspended or your rookie/value selections need fixing? Do you continue with the trade out of Cotton and Magnay or do you attend to the other issues? Do you take the points hit or do you take the cash hit (could be points as well)?

The above is why I would prefer to target both in RD3. Opt for the safety of the extra game otherwise you are relying on them to hit their ceiling or close enough to, to be worth the investment comparative to other options. RD7-RD11 and RD16-20 is the ideal time this for Cotton whereas Magnay will be RD3-8 and RD13 onwards.

Yes, always lots to consider.

I see Jackson Makoi (Cairns Taipans) $58k - Guard could be a great cheapie

I've had a play around... Don't mind it

Also having a play around. This is my Cotton & Cooks draft. The idea would be to trade Cotton after round 1 to Walton Jr & maybe Almansa to someone like Glover (via Henshall).

Excuse my ignorance! For NBL supercoach, price changes after the first 3 rounds and then each round after. But the break even of each player is it per round or per game? Ie, if a player A plays 2 games in one round (scores 25 pts per game - 50 pts that round) as opposed player B who plays 1 game in one round (scores 25 points in one game) given that every thing is equal (prices, breakeven etc) does the price change be the same? Or cause player A played twice in one round that player will go up in price more?

Prices start changing after 3 games

So players from ILL, MEL, SEM, SYD all change after RD2.
The rest after RD3.

As for BE, I'll leave it for someone else, but I'm sure it's calculated per game as well
