At any given round you mean yeh? But what’s the strategy behind starting off with your starting lineup at the start of the season? Hawks SEM Kings have a double in R2 and United doubling R3&4. Given that would you target a United guard as opposed to a Cotton and then trade up after United doubles finished? Given it’s only 2 trades per week apart from boosts feels like the initial set up is the most important
Last year having cotton as captain round 1 was a common strategy as the money can be split round 2. If no Cotton then who to captain round 1 when all teams have a SGW.

With CNS and Adelaide both with a double round 3 makes sense. The next sensible choice is round 6 (or 5) And then ?? round 11 maybe 19 or 20 if you can manage. I was in the top ten until about round ten last year about when the trades were all used and a few poor captain choices saw a tumble. I need to save my trades better. Any advice?
Well done being so high!

Having the 42 trades means 2 every round plus 4 boosts.
Your early boost thoughts 3 & 5 may be the way to go. That's what I've been thinking.

I think I'm starting Cotton, and have been thinking hard about the possibility of not trading him out - at all, unless injured. Not sure though as he has no doubles 4,5,6 which may be too much cash sitting around. Hoever Rd7-11 are all doubles and to have him already in the team... could be juicy.

The Hungry Jack’s National Basketball League (NBL) advises the Game Review Panel (GRP) has completed its assessment of the incident involving New Zealand’s Freddie Gillespie on Friday night.

Gillespie has been charged with headbutting Sydney Kings’ player Shaun Bruce.

The incident has been determined as being intentional, medium impact and high contact, resulting in a two-game suspension, reduced to a one-game suspension with an early guilty plea.

The Breakers can accept or appeal the decision.

Thoughts on Alex Toohey?
$191k

What would his minutes be like?
Other players - Cooks, Adams, Oliver, Galloway, Kuol, Noi
A nice price point but ideally would have preferred to have seen him with Adams in the pre season. Minutes in pre season are unsustainable and as you have raised plenty of quality players to rotate through and thus high usage or volume may not continue in the regular season. Scoring system requires rebounds, assists, steals, etc to supplement scoring and compensate for poor shooting nights, so depends on how you feel he will fare.

Tough with the emphasis on maximising cash gen early given the high likelihood he will leak cash but has one of the highest ceilings which comes in handy especially for the likes of RD1. Is a lock for me between RD7-RD11 but undecided for RD1-RD3 as I would prefer to spread the cash around. Jackson-Cartwright, Doyle, Davis and Walton Jr, etc could all be rotated around for that premium guard spot with doubles rather than holding Cotton during that RD4-RD6 period.

Has anyone any news regarding Delli and Goulding for MEL?
They don't have anything much on NBL.com.au

Wondering how long they are out for. Could really impact early MEL picks.
