Undecided on who i trade Bowen to. Apparantly Konate might be back which is actually more unfavourable than favourable given i am looping Porro and Son (VC) so id love Konate to be a DNP but in the long term it gives me another decent on field option so thats good. If i trade Bowen ill be down to 10 trades and keep slipping in the rankings so something will have to give.
I intentionally went for Son instead of Isak to try and create a differential. So far, that has gone terribly but Newcastle's draw gets a little tougher and Son is still a good option i feel. That said, maybe i should've gone Isak and have been more likely to keep up with the pack for a bit longer before i do something bold (potentially stupid). For the same reason i didnt trade Havertz in 3 rounds ago. So far, that hasn't been too bad but i traded in Diallo when i was thinking about Damsgaard so that frustrates me a little.
Anyway, i like my team but i fail to see how i can start catching the leaders. Ill need the likes of Diallo, Mitoma & Son (plus whoever i replace Bowen with) to come good and make up the ground. Im not entirely confident they can do that but im running short on trades so ill need to back those players in.
Konate back helps my defence as i can now go double Pool & Arsenal (although double being with Raya & Gabriel - not 2 defenders) with Gvardiol/Porro as backup. I think i need to make about 12 points up each week to catch the overall leader which is starting to look incredibly unlikely but ill give it a shot.
Congrats to all those up there and of course the overall leader - Vsberlina. Definitely impressed by your insight and decision making which you've graciously shared with us in this thread. Good luck from now on
Still a long way to go. Transfers going quicker than we all expected. Feels like an unusually high number of injuries occurring.
I think the best thing to do is stay put sometimes. "When in doubt, go without".
That said, I'm tempted to get KDB for Bowen this week. My spider senses aren't tingling, but for me, it's a good neutraliser as the chasing peloton have KDB. But KDB doesn't seem 100%, so he too might get crocked and that's another wasted transfer.
Fortunately, I get to look at Isak VC before I have to decide. Even then, I have Gabriel benched who can cover another MIA Havertz.
I'll probably save transfers and just use what I have, and keep the transfers for the DGs. It pays to be patient most times.
As for the leader, "The Leader is good, the Leader is great. We surrender our will as of this date."
