MAN haven't scored a goal in their last 5 EPL games at Anfield. I think I'll bench Bruno and start VVD.

With the Pool vs United game at some risk, I think Bowen has to go.
Not content with Isak's score anyway so he isn't required as a loop.

Question is, do I go for KDB, or in-form differential MGW, who also plays last and might give another captaincy option?

EDIT: Think I might go KDB, then get MGW for Bruno if the game does get called off.
Bruno with a BE of 30 and NFO have a decent run coming up.
If postponed, the game won't be any time soon so can get Bruno back when required.

There is a great Interview with Joe Hart on playing out from the back and what that means. I'd recommend giving it a watch. I don't think Spurs have the cattle for that at the moment.

Honestly I think with Ange and his philosophy at the moment its some short term pain for some long term gain. If you choose to take short cuts now, you will always be taking short cuts.
I do not mind Ange and the attacking play however one of the problems we have is that the structure he uses requires defenders at the back that have very specific traits and these guys don't grow on trees. It means when players Udogie and Micky VDV are missing we do not have a like for like replacement and that has repercussions right through the midfield and forward play.

Understand we have just signed a young new GK from Prague. Hope he takes the No 1 spot away from Vicario who has fantastic reflexes but the moment he needs to think the lights go out and the world just goes dark.

I read some comments by Joe Hart about his time at Celtic. It is great when you can play out from the back with scoring in mind but you are right when you say we do not currently have enough quality players to do that. Plus they should know that the opposition is expecting this now, so I think the GK needs to make a careful choice about who he gives the ball to.
