No restrictions on prices means Haaland, Salah, Foden, Palmer, Saka, Trent, Watkins in every team i
would say at least :ROFLMAO:
Maybe, you're right, naybe the salary cap can be at 110, instead of a 100. I didn't think that one through properly... Or maybe 1 player from each team only.

Was wondering if anyone was interested in being involved in a competition that I'd run? Would be similar to the Fantasy EPL.

Things to be included, and differences include
- There would be no restriction on players in terms of price.
- 2 players per team, with 15 players, and 1 trade per round.
- Can bank for 2 rounds
- Same formations allowed in Fantasy EPL with 3 reserves, plus GK
- One WC up to 31/12, and post December
- Bench boost as well
- VC and C as per usual
- Same scoring as Fantasy EPL

At this stage, I just want to get an interest. If there is enough, I will start a new thread. I am away for work early next week and during GW2-3, but I will always do my best to keep trades and tables up to date.

Let me know if there are any questions, or things I should include that I may have missed.
I think it would be great having another comp here personally, the more the better. My main thought with this one is it seems very similar to EPL Fantasy, just with an unlimited budget. I think that sounds like an overall improvement myself, and it would be much simpler to run this way on your own, however I can see the issue that tso raised with having very similar teams being entered. The comp would probably work better if you could find a solution around that.

I had similar issues in the first year of the cycling comp I ran - many events had near identical entries. It seems to be working a bit better this year with a few small tweaks that were made you would be aware of - there's always a way around these issues if you get creative enough. If you can sort this out, I think it'll work better.

I found that my most successful competitions I have ran both here and elsewhere are where they bring something new to the table that isn't really found elsewhere. Take the Midprice Madness comp for example. I used the basic structure of the existing Lock and Load comp (as it was at the time) for the scoring, as I found that worked well, but came up with completely different restrictions on creating a team as my point of difference to other comps. It seems to work. You're nearly there with your idea, but I don't think it's quite there as is (my opinion only of course). I'm sure you can find a way to tweak it so that you don't have everyone selecting the same team, but still keep the spirit of what you are trying to do. Figure that out and you'll have a winner.

All the best, and don't be discouraged by the feedback so far. I think you're almost there. Nice one.

I'll most likely be giving your comp a miss, but I definitely support it and wish you well with it. I've just decided to take a bit of a break from fantasy comps for a while once the ongoing AFL/golf/cycling seasons are done, otherwise I'd definitely be interested.

Yeah. Do something unique rather than a copy. (y)

TBH, I was sort of thinking about this for the last few weeks, but really only decided to make the post on the fly. Probably should have put some more thought into before I posted...

Thanks for the feedback though. I don't know if I'll honestly have the time for it, but thought that once it was up and running it would be easy to maintain. Love the little comps that you run, along with @Beg2Differ so I thought I would have a go where others haven't.

I have a busy workload this week, and am away with work early next week, so I might try and post something by the middle of next week. I agree it needs to be unique, and I thought it was somewhat unique by allowing whatever player you wanted, but then didn't think about the similar sides.

Thanks again for the feedback.

Premier League players at Olympics

Argentina: Julian Alvarez (Man City).
France: Jean-Philippe Mateta (Crystal Palace), Lesley Ugochukwu (Chelsea).
Mali: Boubacar Traore (Wolves).
New Zealand: Alex Paulsen (AFC Bournemouth), Henry Gray (Ipswich).
Paraguay: Julio Enciso (Brighton), Enso Gonzalez (Wolves).
United States: Gabriel Slonina (Chelsea).

Will they miss any PL matches?
With the Olympic tournament finishing exactly a week before the Premier League's opening night, it is feasible for the players to return from France fit and ready to re-integrate with their clubs for Matchweek 1. Of course, by not being physically involved in the club's important pre-season training and tactical preparations that may force their managers to revise their plans.

The bigger question mark hangs over players such as Alvarez and Enciso, who will have been in action for their country for most of the summer. How much rest they have had this summer and how their managers will want to plan their recuperation and reintegration will determine whether they can feature on the opening weekend.

I was considering Mateta, but him being at the olympics I’m going to pass, but will consider him at some stage

Crystal Palace play a friendly on the 12th, the Olympics final (if they make it that far) is on the 9th. He is probably going to be more rested than a lot of the rest of the team. I wouldn't rule out players just because they are playing at the Olympics, but I'd keep an eye on selection news still.
