Didn't take long to feel underwhelmed by my team's performance... brought in Bruno Fernandes (removing Havertz). 8 points but could've been 25+ with two massive one-on-one chances spurned. He did look lively though, just hope the other similarly priced options (Havertz, Odegaard, KDB) don't go big.

Glad I didn’t opt for Bassey as I was not expecting a United clean sheet. If Martinez can back that up next round, then he will likely replace one of my cheap def rookies. Opting to take on Nkunku early on but can always fix if Minteh, Kamada or ESR do not work out.

Could have an increase on corners/free kicks if JWP is indeed left on the bench as predicted lineups are suggesting.

But if JWP returns soon, he'll likely be less effective than he was last season.
For me, it's best to wait and see what his new role will be and whether that affects his stats.

First time playing RDT, is it worth getting a defensive loop to take Martinez's score? i'm thinking it is?

Not for 12 pts. The guy you bench might get 5, so for 7 pts, it's not worth having a spot that won't generate cash and will waste a transfer later.
GK spot is the one to loop. The rest either are premiums or cash cows. Cash will help generates pts later.
