I’ll probably hold in both formats unless something goes wrong in the last game.

I’ll likely boost in GW3 for RDT to get the main rookie priced players I’ve missed. Pretty happy with my FPL team. Probably offload Estupinan and Pedro in GW4, but no plan yet for GW3.

Mudryk benched. Was busy at work otherwise I'd probably have got Nketiah when he started.
Thought about changing formation and putting Udogie in the starting 11.
Now I'm left holding my crotch, as I can't get anyone else but Garnacho. Gazpacho it is then.
I reckon Garnacho will be good. Was in my side until I saw the Nketiah selection.
Garnacho straight back to sub when the new striker is ready though... fingers crossed he gets a few goals

My advice to newer FPL players is to hold fire on the trades until you are sure the guy you trade in is certain to play (as certain as you can get). Losing 0.1 is nowhere near as bad as trading in someone who then goes on to get injured during the week, usually necessitating a -4 points for a further trade. Trades are precious in FPL and the less hits the better your rank will generally be

I started the season with 1m in the bank in FPL, so hoping that will get me through the initial bumps.

What is a typical price change over the season?

Total team value can be in the 105 - 108K range, something like that. Team value is important when you come to wildcard, especially the second one after the new year. Having said that, the prices are MUCH more generous this season, so team value is less important. I think they have made the game easier to play (much like Supercoach) to attract as many players as possible.

A single player can maybe rise 1.0 - 1.5 across the year. Price rises in FPL are based on Trades In rather than score, so the more popular the player becomes, the better the price will be. Last year I got Trippier at 5.0 at the start of the season - he ended up in 7 territory from memory.

Obviously the higher or lower the value of the player, the more impact the trades will have. KdB will have a bigger price drop than say a Gabriel would if he was out injured, and vice versa.

I agree, it's not paramount to trade early, especially if the increase or decrease might be marginal, or if you have $$, but I used the complete 100m, so I had to trade before Aby price changes
