T Green and S Walsh in the drop zone if Daicos and Gawn can better 73 and 91. Keays excellent on debut but perhaps I should have grabbed Neale instead of T Stewart to join him given W Day is in my backline. Oh well. :ROFLMAO:

I'm in the situation where I think I might not trade, even though I have a boost and rookies to cull. It doesn't appear that there's any decent rookies available (I've already taken Maric). I have ~20 playing this week pre-trades and I need a FWD and MID upgrade. FWD upgrades this by are impossible and the two main targets for the mids are Oliver (out) and Green (bye). Parish is the highest average mid I don't have that's available and he's out of range with 2 trades (could do 3 though).

I've moved up the ranks over the byes and it seems a shame to not be upgrading but I can't see a path.

MJ, Wardlaw and Ford all had bad scores last week, which could have stunted their cash gen.
Although you don't need to do anything this week, not reacting could leave you in a situation where you may want to dispose of them, but there won't be any good options to move them to.
Then there's Atkins, who may be named as the emergency this week, and a sub appearance is not what you want from him.

One option might be to transfer out Ford and/or Wardlaw, for Windhager and/or Sheldrick.
Although you don't look like you'll need 22 this week, it won't hurt, as Windhager has been named on the ball and Sheldrick racked up heaps of pts with just 55% TOG. Pts per min were awesome so if he sees more time, could get a ton. Both have the Eagles as one of their next two games.

Both moves will free up about $136k and start the cash generation again. Handy if a premium gets injured and you can go straight to the top shelf (like Clarrie if he comes back). They'll also give better flexibility as they're both DPP.

Given Wardlaw and Ford don't have a game, if Atkins is named as emergency, you can reverse their trade and trade out Atkins instead, as GCS play last.

D Cam is another you might want to consider getting in this week whilst he is cheap. Would be a decent F6/F7 (23 premium for backup).
Can provide ruck cover for a week if needed as well as FOR cover. Sheezel can cover FOR & DEF, and Dawson DEF & MID.

I assume you'd then be targeting getting Sicily for Day, Clarrie for the last MID spot, and Butters for the last FOR spot?

Thanks for the response. I like the idea of Atkins to rookie and if he's named then swapping in Wardlaw. With every dollar counting, I was going to bypass Sheldrick but it's worth considering.

The plan was for Clarry this round. Now if I upgrade this week, I'll forgo him (until an injury). Happy to fade Sicily at his price. The forward spot would be one of Butters, Macrae or Cogs (in roughly that order).
