Good o see Bijan did well this week.
I'm still not totally convinced but this week he did what a true RB1 premium should do against that sort of opposition.
My last few ins have been less than pleasing.
This week's ins: Jackson 39 and Chase 19.
Last week's ins: Barkley 24 and 12; Reed 22 and 23.

Likely/hopefully to be only temporary downs but you'd like your newbies to score better than that.

I think Brian is actually as relevant as Bijan - not in terms of ownership of course, 2% vs 49%, but in terms of scoring?
He is currently averaging a fair bit more than Bijan: 28.4 vs 22.8.
He is just as involved in the game as Bijan:
73 carries for 5 TDs and 11 targets vs 67 carries for one TD and 19 targets.

For mine, Bijan has a so-far unwarranted high ranking as a RB. IT's based on his college career and his high draft ranking.
He has been excused for less-than-premium scores in past years as due to having Arthur Smith as his coach.
But what about this year? He is currently the #26 RB in RDT scoring. Why?

I am somewhat sceptical about his "premium"status.
This week should be a decent test. He is up against the team ranked #31 against opposing RB.
RB team points when playing Carolina:
wk.05 - Swift 37, Johnson 29 = 66
wk.04 - C BRown 44, Moss 31 = 75
wk.02 - Dobbins 39, Edwards 11 = 50
wk.01 - Kamara 38, Williams 22 = 60
Wk.03 was the only week when opposing RBs didn't feast: Mattison and White combined for 29 points.
Now if Bijan is the true RB1 stud most pundits seem to think he is then he should score well this week. You'd expect at least 35+ from him, arguably more as Algeier is far less involved than Bijan: 33 carries and 6 targets this season.
I'm not saying he won't. I am saying I am yet to be convinced.
after reading this i reversed my bijan to tank bigsby(4) trade and fielded bijan(48), instead traded away anthony richardson(0) for caleb williams(59) and put the VC on him(118). massive turn of events
didn't avoid the weekly WR injury in MHJ but 516 with a donut nothing to complain about!

Somewhat contradictive to your previous posting,

but to be fair if you don't like a players or don't trust him that's fair enough... a few of the Top Guns fails this Year.... Mahomes is steady but was always overpriced at 20m.... 30 is his avg so 15m is his base price.... Allen could be anything but was disappointing too... versing the Jets I think he be back with a nice score

And as a result your team is now 10 points ahead of my team and (currently) #2 in the SCS group.
Well done.

Not really contradictory, I don't think. Well, not in my mind anyway.
I'm a wait-and-see on Bijan and part of that is seeing how well he can do against the weakest opposition .
Maybe I wasn't too clear on it, but I expected a 35+ from him this week.
My main issue with Bijan isn't with his scoring, it is with what I consider to be the yet-to-be-justified high rankings he is regularly given.

As for Mahomes:
I think he, too, has been too highly ranked by the pundits this year. Or at least he was in the first few weeks.
He is still a top QB in NFL terms but the current KC game plan which leans heavily on a very short passing game isn't conducive to good fantasy scores for a QB.
It is much the same game plan as last year, only more so, and with the same OC - Nagy.
Mahomes had a low ADOT last year but it is even lower this year - the lowest ADOT of any QB actually, or so one porcast claims.
And the pundits have learnt: FantasyPros currently has him ranked #13 in their rest of season listing - behind many lesser players.
Which makes sense to me: as long as the KC defence can keep opponent's scoring down then the offence doesn't need to be exciting.
I'd really like to see the KC defence fail so that they are compelled to unleash Mahones.
I'd trade him in immediately were that to occur but until then ....

It's a funny game, certainly need luck on your side. I ended up keeping him because of more pressing needs with injuries & have been rewarded with 2 great scores last 2 weeks
Used him to get rice to Collins thinking I’d have nabers back - collins is now chase

If I’d flipped mhj instead I’d be about 130 points better off …

i reckon Eric Bieniemy leaving Chiefs had impact on Mahomes scoring, he's been down since
