It feels a bit strange raising this issue but:
are we all sure Mahones is still Mahones?
Sure, the game plan of short passes doesn't play to his strengths but, even so, his stat.s are terrible.
He has 8 TDs v 9 Int. - in 8 games!
You'd think that short passing would mitigate against interceptions.

Having said that, he should be good this week.
He's at home to TB - the easiest oppositon for QBs this year.
I've actually tossed up bringing him in. Surely he can't continue to play this poorly. But it's been like this since last year. Sure, they are winning, but you would have to think at some point he will need to toss the ball more. If I was playing draft it would be tempting. Just can't do it in this format at the moment though his price is tempting.

I benched the Jets DST after recent scores of: 4, -6, 4 , 16 and 12.
Given Houston is missing not just Collins but Diggs it was probably a bad move - but I got fed up with the Jets.
They were giving up points and not getting sacks.
Of course they limit the Houston scoring - to their 2nd lowest score of the year - and manage 8 sacks.
They had only managed 21 sacks in their previous 8 games and 7 of those came in their 1st game against NE. In their 2nd against NE last week they only managed 1 sack.
And Stroud had only been sacked 22 times in his previous 8 games with a high of 4.
So I didn't think it was that bad a move.

Another week where my bench out-scores my on-field?
Exactly the same as you I benched jets out of pure frustration and reading commanders were rated third best this week

I think KC are just rushing the ball more and passing less and that costs him points. Mahomes has never passed for less than 4000yd since he took over as QB in 2018. But he is on course to do that this year having passed so far for 1651 yds. Compare this to 2021 when over his first 7 games he had passed 2093 yds. His attempts are down as well 277 for 187 completions in the first 7 games 2021 compared to 225 for 154 this year but the completion percentage is almost the same. Passing attempts have been 658 in 2021, then 648 and 597 last year.

WR in 2021 Tyreek and Hardman had 11 TD between them. But in 2022 it was Juju and Valdez-Scanting with only 5 TD and last year the rookie Rashee Rice and MVS for 8 TD. This year Rice is out after 4 games and it is another rookie in Worthy and Hopkins. An aging Kelce, a de facto WR, dropped below 1000yds in 2023 for the first time since 2015.

No surprise, at the same time the KC lead RB has increased the number of rushes. CEH was 119 rushes in 2021 then Pacheco took over and went 170 in 2022 then 205 in 2023.

I do not think you can underestimate KC. They are still Superbowl contenders for mine but I think they are just dealing with circumstances as best they can. So is Mahomes still Mahomes? The NFL version still is but maybe the Fantasy version is not quite the same.

How's your bench doing?
I have Tillman whose 33 outscored the better-credentialed London, Chase and Nabers.
Admittedly it was a fortunate 33: he had 2 catches for 30 yds and a TD inside the last 2.5 minutes if play. The TD came on the last genuine play of the game.
And I have Dobbins' 47 on the bench. 47! Against one of the best run defences!

I got 2 Bench selections right and 4 wrong.

While reviewing the NFL websites for Start 'n' Sit and PPR Rankings, I couldn't shake the feeling that it was a waste of my time.

Strange coaching decisions:
The Giants started the game with a very run-heavy approach.
They had 19 carries v 4 passes before their 1st TD - a pass.
They began their next drive with an incomplete pass to Nabers - his only target in the 1st half - and went 3 and out.
The RBs were getting the yards at the start of the half but less so as the half wore on.
The Giants ended the half down 21-7.

The 2nd half was the opposite: 11 carries v 20 targets.
The Giants out-scored Washington 15-6: 2 TDs to none with 2 failed 2-point conversions.
Nabers finished with 9/11 with 10 of his targets coming in the 2nd half.

I can't help but wonder why they started so run-heavy.
And why their star WR wasn't used more in the 1st half.
