Seriously NRL it’s a simple game, I don’t understand how so many decisions get made that are completely opposite to what the commentators and viewers see. Storm have been screwed over tonight, that send off was BS as was the call on the Papenhauzen kick
The Papenhuyzen kick is the rules of the game, as simple as that. It was black and white - Howarth was o***ide. Should that rule be changed to a 'do over', like the 20 taps? Probably. But the ref's can only enforce the rule as it is currently.

My point with captains challenges is that sometimes they win, or don't lose the challenge, due to some other factor than the original complaint.
The blunker goes looking for other infringements. In Pappys case, Riff challenged the tap saying it was tapped then passed for the kick, so as it wasn't a 20/40, Riff get the scrum feed. Once the blunker showed there was no initial tap taken and bthe kick was legal, challenge is lost, play on. The fact that another player was in front is superfluous as the blind touchies or the Ref shoulda picked that up. That they didn't is a separate issue. We dont want the blunker ruling on absolutely everything. Why have Refs??
Rant over.

Is there anything more unreasonably infuriating in NRL Supercoach than a 1st half Cat 1 HIA to one of your players?
Especially for those that traded him in this week. Wouldn’t mind a feature where you could select an extra player in your team to replace HIA affected players within a certain time frame, maybe within the first half

I didn’t like this decision because you could see they lost the challenge but the Penrith players crowded the ref and starting pointed at another issue (the o***ide) after the bunker had already cleared the play & the ref for some reason listened to them and the bunker was used a second time to check the o***ide. Don’t know if any other team would be granted that leniency

I was actually thinking something very similar after Watson went off last night. I was thinking that you could at least be able to get your AEs score in that situation, on top of what Watson already scored - no different to how an 18th man can be invoked, especially as it was a piece of sin bin worthy foul play that ruled Watson out. And yes, you could restrict it to 1st half failed HIAs only
