I've settled on these trades in the mean-time. Have 13 so can cover this week well..just making trades for the future

Which trade is best (have 20 left)

1. Armstrong > Sharpe

2. Armstrong + Jdb > porter + CNK

3. No trades.. leave.

If it was me, I'd start by working out who/how many I need for my final team and work backwards from there.

Looking at your side, I'd say you don't need to make too many changes to HKR (Api/Grant) or FRF (AFB/Tapine). I'd use Curran as your 3rd FRF/5th (or 6th depending on cash) 2RF. Hughes and Mikaele (long term) look like AE risks so they probably need to go (once their usefulness ends) and ideally you want FifitaNUFF to be on the opposite line to Curran.

Do you see DeBelin and KPP in your final team? They both give round 19 coverage so have some usefulness, but I'm thinking I want DFififta, Katoa, Angus Crichton and Olakauatu as my 4 of my final 2RFs (first 3 are pretty obvious and Ola can be picked up reasonably cheap in round 20/21).

Are you going to want to bring in Nicho and Cleary for your final team? If so, you need to think about the cash to get them in and the timing of it. Nicho is pretty much a must have in round 19 and I would want him for round 18 as well. For the non-owners, hopefully drops some cash in round 17 and then pick him up for 18.

In your CTWs Armstrong can go and you need anther gun FLB at some point, but if you need cash, Armstrong to Sharpe (next week) might be a decent option. Sharpe can be flipped in round 20/21 depending on when Ponga comes back. With a few extra trades saved I'd be more comfortable doing this in your team then mine!

The likes of Marzhew and Iro offer round 19 coverage, so are probably worth keeping for the next couple of weeks. Iro probably makes for a reliable 6th/7th CTW for the run home. Doesn't seem to have the ceiling, but his floor is decent.

I haven't really looked into the draw beyond Origin time, so there might be a few PODs that are worth jumping on.
Thanks dravid! Always appreciate the help.. like any of the trades above?

Just the one trade this week - Latrell out (just won't play enough in the next month), Tedesco in (can't afford not have him next week. It gives me 15 on field this week. Down to 14 trades which is a bit of a concern. Aim for next week is Hynes in, likely at the expense of Sam Walker.
I'm running Hughes & Walker at halfback like you, want to get Hynes in as well but I'll probably wait till round 19 when both of my halves are on the Bye. Hughes with Dolphins, Raiders & Tigers and Walker with Bulldogs, Tigers & Dragons next 3 are pushing me to hold. Hopefully Hynes will drop enough cash for a straight swap by that time. Will definitely be watching Sharkies games behind my couch though haha.

This is the correct way to go about things now.

I'm h2h so I started earlier on getting my final team together. I'm not going for any more cash cows as they are FBs only. But if you can swing it using your FB spot to get Sharpe or Hopoate etc to raise more cash , go fit it. Still 12 rounds to go

I'd probably lean towards holding trades... maybe look at trade 1 next week.

KPP injured
Garrick HIA spud :ROFLMAO:

Trades have 3 players playing both 16/19
Fifita, Isaako, Campbell

Have 11 atm for R19

My team is mediocre anyway. Not too worried.
Concentrating on trying to get inside top 100 in RDT (187th atm)
Going Hard in RDT... trading in AFB & Hoppa and fielding a huge Team of 16 which are a play every day of the week... I will work hard on improving that ranking as everybody else seems to not worry as we got no H2H Matches :devilish::devilish::devilish::alien::alien::devilish::devilish::devilish::devilish:

If you're happy to take the risk, Hynes to Walker in round 18 might be the play. The Bulldogs have been one of the more miserly teams when it comes to SC points conceded this year and Walker has the Tigers in round 17. Of course Walker has the Dragons is round 18 and he did ok last time against them (172).
Thanks for the feedback guys - I think I am convinced to hold another round. Cheers.

Another option could be Brailey to Cook instead of Talagi to Katoa.

Issue is that upgrade cash may be necessary if I want to grab Hynes and move Plath back to 2RF although it can be funded by Talagi and Trbojevic to Hynes and loophole when required.
Looking ahead, I could go Drinkwater to Sharpe next round which would increasing my remaining salary to approx $580,000. Talagi to Hynes via Aitken and Plath in RD18 for approx $200k with the remainder of the cash to fund an upgrade of Pahulu or Trbojevic to AFB/Katoa.

Hey mate.I have been thinking drinky to sharpe next week too but then realised if i do that i likely wont have room for Turbo for round 19. I think ill hold off and try and get Turbo. Thoughts?

Drinkwater > Tedesco
Cotter > AFB
Holmes > Mulitalo

Brings me up to 13 playable players this week + Hughes.

Getting rid of Cowboys this week with their 3 byes remaining.

Not that big of a fan of getting rid of Holmes but it’s the only way I can do the AFB / Teddy moves that I really want to do outside of shifting Edwards without affecting a rd 19 number.

Sharks draw also looks really good so looking for ways to get more exposure to them.

Usually I avoid rookies at this time of the season and especially players at FB in the highest scoring position that do not have dual position status as I would not have enough trades and/or cash gen has been taken care of.

That said, the cash unlocked especially from a Drinkwater who has three byes and from a few reports (Playbook articles- https://scplaybook.com.au/blog/2024/06/20/h2h-nrl-supercoach-tips-navigating-the-run-to-finals) a tough fixture to the Knights who they mentioned have a nice draw and their FB position has been scoring well no matter who (Ponga, Armstrong, Sharpe). Cheapest avenue possible into that attack and ideally flip when Ponga returns (and if Armstrong doesn’t return) to a top FB for the run home.

Already have Mulitalo and Iro whilst targeting Hynes. Nikora under heavy consideration as well as I have enough players this round to grab him early and pair with Katoa if I trade Drinkwater and Talagi over say Brailey and Strange. Little attacking involvement so far, so could be a great shout for the run home and playing 19 with the cash saving over a $700k type.

Think I talked myself into Strange to Sharpe next round and Nikora this round.:ROFLMAO:

Eventually Trbojevic to Hynes with the funds from Strange to Sharpe.

Ended up holding Holmes and dumping Edwards for Isaako instead. Dolphins playing 16,17,19,20 with every game on the run home outside 18, made a lot of sense for a downgrade and bolstering for leagues in what is a key week matchup for me.

Drinkwater > Tedesco and Cotter > AFB remain other 2 trades.
