Just a reminder to anyone new to SC especially because of the 2 LA games ( 4 teams). You need to have entered a FULL 25 man squad before the first LA game on Sunday. The difficulty this year is we won't know the makeup of the remaining 13 teams until TLT on the following Tuesday. But with the rolling lockout you will be able to make changes to your team (apart from the 4 teams playing in Vegas) throughout the following week until each team plays.

Thank you. Do like Brooks but hesitant to lock the spot in early. Have recently been playing around with a Strange/Weekes combo at 5/8 with Hammer at CTW. Can reassess the position at RD3 with Dolphins on a bye. Will keep Metcalf in mind if I leave the spot until after Vegas.

No idea at the HOK2 position and not confident on anyone to make enough cash. Can drop down to Levi as you said but unlikely to be able to go up to an Eel without changing elsewhere.

Yeah looking at it now, the HOK2 situation is really ugly. Brailey starting off the bench, Eels & Raiders hookers having a timeshare, won’t be easy to make cash, think some of these guys can potentially lose value. Might have to go mid-range to someone like Liddle/Smith if you want a playable HOK2 and a few points of value.

Had already upgraded Willison to Leniu as my 3rd Frf. I was questioning that decision a little bit but not anymore. I still think Willison will be decent when he gets a run but i dont see him getting many minutes unless/until injury strikes. I reckon he will have a high points per minute average when he gets a go but i think with this news you cant take him into round 1 and that may be a blessing in disguise as his spot in the side seemed a bit precarious anyway.

I think one of Strange or Weeke's may make way for Kris when he returns in R2. Seems like Weekes will be given first crack at 5/8 though imo Strange looked much better in the trials. Don't mind either of Brooks or Metcalf. Interesting discussion on the Guru's podcast last night regarding the 2nd hooker position (the one that went for just over an hour - sorry don't know how to provide the link). He was possibly looking at nuffing the position to free up approximately $110 -130k to upgrade other players. I didn't mind it if Hands and Lussick share minutes.

Yeah I was thinking of running Robson with no Byes till round 15 & nuffing out the second position and putting that cash into my FRF which is terrible

Ata Mariota (FRF, $255,900)
I’m actually a little surprised Mariota hasn’t been spoken about a bit more.
He’s highly regarded at the club, was strong last season and looked the goods in trials.
I think for a few rounds he’ll score well and get enough time to be relevant, the issue is of course the return of Corey Horsburgh in round 3 which will eat into his time.
Cheapie rating: 6/10
Have not heard much about Mariota in the preseason. Could he be a solid replacement for Willison, best to go with Mikaele or grab both and play one of Mikaele, Hughes or Marriota at FR2?
