He can't kick, he can't play any other position and they've got Laird, Dawson and then Crouch returned. He played crap the first few round so they gave Soligo, Rachele, Schoenberg, Keays and then Crouch the chance. With Rankine also going through there just got starved out.

What he does, he does very well and he can really score for fantasy. It's just hard to see where he really fits in with Laird, Dawson and Crouch and then Rankine to also push through, feels like the leftover still. Might be a really solid pick though, Crows play annoyingly late in the round for a guy who is semi-structural price wise.

Definitely an option though. If he's improved his disposal then that would seriously help his cause as it's been a major issue. Same way that Keays, despite his ability to win and hunt the pill and man, can't sustain a midfield role because of it. Nicks clearly values disposal from his mids.
Thanks for your thoughts @wogitalia
You're right about the 3 established Crows mids, but Berry clearly looked to be the next most active round the ground last week.
He's only 22 and looked in great shape -
I dont think his kicking is a big weakness - not elite, but not too bad.
He tackles and has put up a season going at nearly 87..
I reckon @Bigboy is on to something!

Nicks commenting on Berry from an interview in Feb 2023. Basically poor kick and too slow. But he can improve. My bold.

After leading the AFL for tackles (9.5) last season, Nicks said Berry had been sharpening his offensive game over the summer and working to become a more rounded midfielder. "He has made so much ground in a really short time, but he's still got a fair bit to work on … execution by foot is the big one for him," Nicks said. "He can drive himself out of stoppage and find himself shoulders out going one-versus-none into the forward line. The next step is for him to be able to execute that connection piece.

"When you first get in the game, the game is fast, and he was he was probably a little bit more reactive to some of the opposition who had played a lot more games of footy. "So what you saw with the competitive part was him not quite reacting as quick and being second to the ball. But he's happy to tackle you, he'll wrap you up.

I really like him and he's at a great price, definitely not a bad punt, the 4th mid can definitely score enough. Talk of playing Laird forward more and Dawson can always push outside and behind the ball to open some rotations.

Also, Tigers bus arrived at HT it would seem.
