Anyone considering Green out? Been dreadful for some time now.
Extremely tempted, he just isn't getting close to that 100 mark each week. If I want 80s I can downgrade him and picket some cash.. or if I want 110s I can spend up and get a gun. But either way.. the case for holding is getting weaker and weaker. Only probably for me will be how many trades I want to be left with - I can complete my team with Rankine and 5 trades left, or I can upgrade Green to Merret and then finish my team with 4 trades left and possibly Curnow (maybe still Rankine but I think my rookies won't top out at enough to do that in 2 trades).

Lots to ponder.. my gut feel is that we are going to have some carnage in the run home so might be better to hold the trades for a few weeks and then look at some luxury moves once we have a few less rounds to go. 9 rounds post bye feels like a lot given questionable bench cover..

Currently looking at Hgarcia and Jmacrae out for fisher and any mid rookie that debuts this round. Gets me 20 for the round and a structure where Dowling and (hopefully) jrichards can cover every line, and I still have wgraham ready to cash out to upgrade Powell to rankine next week. Those 4 trades leave me with 5 left which I'm happy with. I just need a mid rookie to debut. Fingers crossed!

Green to Merrett must be veryyyy tempting. You're ranked quite high as well yes? Green stinking it up in 48% of teams...

Yep currently sitting at 289. It is next level tempting tbh, I had a play and if I'm comfortable going down to 4 trades I can do it and get Curnow at F6. Means no Rankine unless there is an injury though and won't have any cash reserves so would potentially need to do a downgrade to get the money to upgrade any LTI. 4 trades for 9 rounds with no real bench depth is definitely a concern though.

I don't think there will be much between Rankine and Curnow on the run home. Rankine at $571K is way overs. Would much rather save ~$120K and bring in the big fella.

I think I'm leaning the same way. That cash funds a strong upgrade or gets me a Rozee M9, both of which I think will be worth more points over the run home.

Yep he's gone for me - I actually can't stand owning this fraud when he had the audacity to re-draft himself as the #1 of 2019 after he beat up on North & West Coast in Round 1 & 2

how many SC points does a player lose for arrogance? :ROFLMAO: maybe that's why Champion Data loves Bont so much, always seemed like a humble guy to me

Via Dacios into mids...just not sure how to get him back into DEF after this round, especially with Schoenmakers a likely trade target in Round 16. No other DEF/MID DPP in my team after having so many after round 6.

i.e.

Ryan, Sheezel, Houston, Dale, Sexton, Worner (Reid+, Blight)

Bont, Serong, Butters, Zerrett, Dawson, Walsh, Rowell, Green (Daicos, Dowling, Mannagh :ROFLMAO:)

Gawn, Grundy (Livingstone)

Flanders, Heeney, Zorko, Fisher, Jackson, Moore (Freijah, W. Dawson+)

Can do Uwland to Zorko for my final upgrade this week but inclined to wait 2 weeks for Uwlands price rises and save some money for luxury and/or upgrades to premos on the bench as cover. Uwland will make around $70k over the next 2 weeks if he goes at his 72 average for both games whereas Zorko should more or less hold his price over those 2 weeks or go up around $10k
Points on field vs holding extra cash in the bank is the decision

Best $102k M/F donut for the run home? Payne or Rawlinson seem to be the go.

If Worner plays I'll take him as a downgrade but I need another one to land my final mid upgrade and be 'finished'.

There is a small chance that Payne plays late in the season (likely as the sub) so I would lean towards Rawlinson if you want a definitely donut for looping - if the prospect of a game or 2 is handy though maybe Payne.
One other consideration is if you have Livingstone? If so it might be better to take Payne so you have different teams - surely one of West Coast or North plays late every game from here on! (too lazy to go and actually check..)

Sullivan - > Merrett leaves 6 left

Don't have the cash ( $ 61,400.00) to fix Green , Oliver , Rozee , Steele , Stewart , Walsh etc

Dunkley & Miller prices could get interesting but might just give the same returns

Bench is hanging on by a thread

W Dawson * , Reid
Dowling * , H Garcia * , Clark
Livingstone *
Jezza , Kreuger *

Getting distracted by the T20 WC & Euro 2024

As long as the Pies keep winning 🤗
