Discussion 2024 Round 16: Teams & In Game Discussion - Tom De Koning OUT!

78% TOG the last 3 weeks vs 71% for the rest of the season and even lower last year, so maybe that's a sign that's he's starting to build his tank. Probably helped by the fact that the games have actually been close (!) as well to boost his scoring.

He's going to be an absolute gun. Him and Sheezel have just turned 20 and played around 60 games in total... they're going to shred some teams in the future :love:

Geez! lots I missed out on, but you can't have them all I guess.

I don't know how you'd do it but it would be interesting to see those players that gained big $ but then regressed through injuries/ role changes etc. One that I had was Yeo, brought him in at $447k and sold him when he got injured at $610k (awesome pts along the way) so a $163k rise from his lowest to highest

Any chance McKercher plays this week? I'm not holding my breath with everything they've said about him so far. Not reading into it as optimistically as others might.

Worried he just eats up a spot until the last 3 games, which would be a monumental, all-time hold failure.

My optimistic thinking earlier in the week was that he would definitely come straight back in but this snippet from the In The Mix article on the North Melbourne website doesn't sound too positive;

Young gun Colby McKercher (31 disposals) had a noteworthy influence on the reserves' game on Sunday afternoon, after being injected into the contest post-quarter-time.

The No.10's return to the highest level won't be rushed though, with his training loads and gametime minutes still set to be modified moving into the near future as he continues to enable his foot to adapt from bone stress.

Doesnt worry me, I still own him also and tbh, it's cash that won't move if he doesn't play and if my best 22 is on the park he's not too much of a concern.

If he's yr best 22 maybe it becomes an issue.

The problem is - how many more games? I understand both sides of the argument, but the guy is playing footy regardless. Should it really matter whether it's AFL or VFL? I can't imagine a guy is still struggling that bad, if he had 31 disposals in 3 quarters (VFL or not).

North have nothing to play for, agreed, but some extra games into him seems ideal. He's young. Not sure why they're treating him like he's some 35 year old Tom Hawkins.

Well after a really fantastic year, he's unfortunately landed as my D6 with M7 swing. So more than anything, I really need him to play.
