What is the best option? Sub to me would indicate maybe a rookie rest and back in next week. Dropped a bit more ominous.
depends what your plans are with him I guess. if you want to move him on real soon then SUB, if you want to hold for a while then being dropped is probably more conducive for his potential for cash flow

Carlton
I’m not so worried about Carroll as he’s been playing well and Walsh may need managing in his first game back.
I'd lean Carroll sub on the current teams but also seems Elijah Hollands is still unlikely, so Binns could come as sub, Walsh plays a bit more HFF to ease him in.

Great that Darcy didn't come in, hopefully another 90+ for Jackson this week and he can kick a few against WCE the week after, and then he's out of my team :sneaky:

I hope we can get another week of solid scoring from Carroll. 150k from a rookie I wasn’t 100% on in my starting team would be amazing.

Got a feeling McKay is going to brain it against Adelaide this week. Spewing Carlton aren’t playing before Bont does otherwise the VC would’ve been slapped on him!

Gawn VC tonight.
Considered Lohmann but scared after Berry and Thomas in the past couple of rounds, so will wait on Comben/Georgiades. Holding Howes as E since I am concerned about Carroll’s job security with Walsh returning and would prefer to trade out Coffield instead sooner rather than later. May pass on Flanders but should be able to grab a Dawson/LDU/etc type instead next round.

Just a quick summary on Tholstrup from me.

Watched him play a lot of football last year for Subiaco (who I support) and he broke through for 10 League games. Lots of swagger and personality, looks like a great kid too. Medium sized forward (AFL site has him listed at 186cm). More of your X-factor type of guy rather than your high possession getter, SC style of game type of guy.

Averaged 11 touches a game for Subi at League level, 3.5 marks, 2.4 tackles, 0.7 goals. Improved as the season went on. Played pretty deep.

I have been following him and he racked up 21 touches in each of his 2 VFL games to date, with 13 tackles and 10 marks between them. This is a big improvement from a statistical perspective. I assume he’s playing in a higher role now at Melbourne.

Would like to see him get a good run at it at AFL level but from a SC lense, the ideal scenario is he’s a one and done for Pickett when he returns. Hope for a return later in upgrade season.
3 minutes in and I can already tell you he’s playing a much higher role.
