Knowing you had ~480k in the bank prior to trades, and with the ability to downgrade to Cleary next round, I’ll play devil’s advocate here:
Would you consider upgrading Cogs to a mid premo (via Brodie) and use the remaining cash to upgrade a failed premo ala. Whitfield/Ladhams?

I can see Clark scoring on-field +/- 10 points within Ladhams over the next month for 500k cheaper!

Round 9: 2170 - Macrae (C)
Rank: 99th (up from 110)

Trades made:
JHF > Petracca
NOD > Carroll
MacDonald > Rioli

First time I have entered double-digit territory for the season (albeit 99th overall!). Early crow, although MacDonald to Rioli appears to have been a wasted trade, however I'm thrilled with Petracca.

No Steele has given me a slight advantage for trading this week. With 184K in the bank, early plans involve Ward > Clark and utilising the 400k to upgrade two of Rowell/Daicos/Coniglio/Whitfield.

Looking at:

NOD, Steele and Butters
=>
Bailey Smith, Taranto and Clark

My worst on field players are now Whitfield, Clark, N Martin and Rozee.

Almost getting into sideways trade territory (arguably Butters to Taranto could qualify), but with 17 trades in hand there seems to be good scope to do that.

I've got 22 trades and 4 boosts left.

Traded out Steele and Mead for Clark and Oliver, looking forward to the byes. 😁

Hoping you haven't traded Butters for Taranto ;)
