Does anyone know if the U19 World Cup Squad for South Africa has been announced yet ?

Davies , Fraser-McGurk , Harvey & Sangha all played against NZ in July so could be involved.

Not yet, will be around the end of next week once the U19's Championships conclude.

Thanks for that , remember reading Fraser-McGurk was unavailable for Shield selection due to U19's commitments.

Got caught out last season not doing enough research , when Sutherland ended up in Sri Lanka with the U19's.

Yep. Their percentage is very close to Paarl Rocks who are 2nd and they play each other in their final game of the regular season so the winner of that will finish on top of the ladder and automatically qualify for the final.

Is Curran’s scorings bit of a concern? He’s not cheap and has the worst average of the players listed!

It is slightly concerning but he was so good in the BBL last season. Very hard to overlook him especially as he bowls at the death.

I’ve long thought teams were crazy for not signing hazelwood considering he’s free after the tests wrap up

I am actually waiting for when one of the best T20 batsmen in the world might actually be able to play in his own domestic T20 competition.

Pathetic by CA that Warner won't be playing along with Cummins & Starc (at this stage) and Smith , Hazlewood & Lyon will likely only be available for 2 matches.

The standard is poor enough without having limitations placed on your star players.

Actually very good point , for some reason I thought he was in the World Cup Squad but it was :-

Hazelwood played the 3 ODI's v South Africa 2018/19 then missed the India & UAE tours with a back injury from memory.

Personally after 5 tests this summer I wouldn't take any of Cummins , Hazlewood , Starc & the Goat to India.

The freed up the summer after the tests so that they could all play bbl, then decided to have a 3 match ODI series in India in the middle of the bbl, it’s really frustrating.

Ideally they need to play domestic one day cricket in September/Oct then play ODI's.

Nov - Dec shield and tests , move the SCG test before the MCG one and start Big Bash NYE , create a window for it to be played in , allow our best players to play and get 3-4 OS players per team.

Yeah maybe, perhaps we’ll see old mate cooper open the bowling this year? However I do think that marvel is a very good wicket for the quicks usually. Nabi was only bowling 2 overs a game last year

Cooper will bowl , Fatty might even roll the arm over himself.

I guess they already have 5 specialist Bowlers + whoever they have as their 11th player.

At this rate I will end up with Milenko on my bowling bench again ? , maybe he opens instead of Jewell or McDermott and I crack the jackpot.
