This is interesting. Do we grab him blindly or wait for him to at least post some kind of decent score.

I could be completely wrong here but didn't someone once say (probably @Herbie66) that overseas batsmen initially struggle to adjust to the Australian pitches when they first come play here. Could have been specifically the English can't remember.

It's not generally in issue for South Africans, the pitches are very similar over there.

Without seeing his BE I think it would still be high so I probably won't grab him until the following round and just hope for the best.

Could be right about needing time to adjust. Strange that he scored he 40 first up and then had 2 failures
