I initially thought Burns , but maybe they use him as a opener to actually bat overs.

might actually be better for their "bash" mentality

Lynn at 3 , de Villiers at 4 , Renshaw at 5 , Labuschagne at 6

Cutting does give them that 5th stronger bowler option though.
The clear weaker link to me is Pierson. Offers nothing with the bat. But no one else can keep I believe (Can’t see ABD doing it - I know he’s done it before but just can’t see it)

I also can’t see them relying on Renshaw and Labu to bowl first - if both get tonked first over which is quite possible they are in strife. For that reason I think Cutting is safe.

And after Heazletts performance it really just leaves Burns. They really need to open with Renshaw or even Labu imo, with the instruction to do pretty much try what Stoinis does. Get yourself in try and bat through at 100 strike rate and go when the situation requires you too.

Hard to know how these things will effect people but I'm not game to trade Maxi out now... Sticking to the plan, Carey in for Green.

I was one who went early with Patel, only because I'm so far off the pace I'm trying to go with a few riskier selections to try to mske up ground (It's not working well so far).

For similar reasons I'm leaning towards Head as Captain rather than the likely more popular choice in Khan. I'm happy to take the hit - you can all now be confident Khan is the better option.
Interesting re Patel , not worried about Gurney returning from injury then ?

I have Head. I have him twice if you count his captaincy.
Labuschagne would play on the pine for this week and I would have no WK to sub in, giving me Harpers 18. I could play Labs at the expense of Mitch Marsh, but I doubt I’d do that
Ok makes sense

work on this round , worry about next round when it happens

My H2H opponent has Wade VC with options to loop. And despite owning Khan he has put the C on Neser.

He’s trying to trick me somehow, I’m just not sure how.... :unsure:o_O

Should.... should I pick Neser to nullify him if I think the rest of my team beats his... OR WAS THAT HIS PLAN ALL ALONG???!!!!!

I actually think Peirson stabilises them most times when they are 5-50.

Would be a massive change in direction if they introduced some "Test" cricket to their approach but actually think it is the most sensible thing to do , ie use Burns/Renshaw with Heazlett.

Somehow sensible and the Heat don't seem to work.

Labuschagne v Stoinis wow , let's give him a chance at T20 first before that comparison , people might be getting caught up with Labuschagne game at Test level.

Huge difference between Test batting and T20 batting.

I guess we have to wait until tomorrow night to see what they do.

Hope that stoinis finally returns to the bowling crease otherwise we’re seeing something like 15 overs of spin tonight. Can’t believe they’ve kept Morris in their 11!
was just trying to think of myself , NCN is out , he is in , he is out yet they have Worrall & Morris + 3 (and Maddinson, Maxy)......surely Stoinis bowls

and the Strikers dropped O'Connor
