Only Round 14 has 2 games though to use a VC/C loop.

depending on schedule , Nevill should still be available to be selected , so not sure it would be worth "wasting" a trade on Stephien.
I guess it could get you an extra cheap player on the bench - you won't need your bench after this week and you probably want to have as little cash spent on the five there as possible. Fairly sure there's enough cheapies from the finalists to bring in anyway with your unlimited trades, so not really worth it.

Before everyone gets too excited about the Gades new keeper Stepien..... Yes, his scoring in the most recent match was amazing but radically better than his previous five. The opposition team was all out for 85.

Gulbis has been his opening partner in every match but one when Stepien didn't play.
Here are their scores:
Stepien: 13/13, 32/26, [DNP],21/15, 16/22, 9/10, 62/19
Gulbis: 0/3, 33/21, [70/49,] 65/34, 55/28, 79/44, 20/7.
Gulbis has the better overall performance and look at his BBL record: he can't get a match with the Stars this year and averaged 18.6 last year.

First round of the finals you just use your WK from Team 3 onfield as your VC/C loop then find 4 other cheapies , loop Bat & Bowl from the first game then upgrade onfield if you don't take their score.

Will (should) have plenty of $$$ to play with.

Gulbis is 33 , you would hope he is well and truly off the radar for Big Bash teams.

I hope we have some juniors somewhere in the country that are better than him.

If that's the case they shouldn't be allowed a 2nd OS player for the finals then.

So maybe they can get Starc as a LRP , but given Abbott is also due back would give them Abbott , Bird , Dwarshuis , Hazlewood & Starc to choose from which seems overkill.

At least they announce their Squad tomorrow so will find out if Curran is playing or not.

I heard Vaughn state that Curran is available for this Saturday's game and then he is off. Isa agreed with him and then
they all started bitchin about the pommy weather they will have to endure ad nauseam.

That's correct , he is named in the squad.

But in the finals they won't be able to have a second OS player.
