I'm not saying you are wrong, but IMO paying $180k for a player to loop is a lot different to paying $85k for a player to loop.
If you have $180k sitting on the bench and you are umming and ahhing about whether to take his score or not, then it is serioulsy going to limit your scoring power on field.
I will just explore all options as I normally do.
Also depends where my donuts are if I need to take my VC score.
AS play the first game so Scott is no use.
PS play the second game so Green provides benefit.
SS play PS so same for Bertus , but can't get a look at Inglis before using McDermott.
So now who do you VC & C , MS play first so that seems the obvious VC choice , if that player works out , I then need a onfield donut.
Green works with Richardson/Tye so maybe that's a better set up.
J Richardson , Tye , Zampa are all onfield.
Rashid gets traded to ?
So I then need to work out what to do with Dwarshuis & K Richardson.
Maybe I bring in 2 more Scorcher/Star bowlers.
Field them all , no room for donut onfield (if needed).
So look at next option.
How do you set your side up to use the VC/C loophole ? or do you just play a outright Captain ?
Suspect many could have 11 x $ 150k + players coming into Round 10 so one is probably going to be a E.
I hope by Round 10 I have set things up well enough to be bringing in premium players (obviously price doesn't guarantee scores)
Not quite sure how that seriously limits onfield scoring though.
