Sounds like McSweeney will get the nod for the first test and Inglis will be in the squad (which may effect his BBL availability?).

Inglis not being available would certainly be a spanner. Personally he was my keeper preference, with daylight in second.

Do like Phillipe but against gades bowlers (which we likely have plenty of) in round 1, then on the Showgrounds; doesn’t seem the smartest pick.

Even though it’s a very different standard, Maxwell’s recent ODI form really is starting to worry me. With the makeup of their team as well, it’s also going to be a lottery of whether he does bowl much or not.

Curran, Webster, Stoinis and Maxwell in potentially the top 7 means that there’d be at least 3 specialist bowlers in that 8-11 mix (cue Harper for no.8 again?).

Curran you assume will have 4 overs each game he plays and Webster is the form player out of the 3 allrounders, so unless Maxwell bowls 1-2 in the power play, I don’t see him bowling 4 often with the players available. Hard to say what a new captain will do as well, if they have indeed moved on from Maxwell in that role.

I don’t really want to do it, but if Maxwell doesn’t show any form before round 1, I may just tempt the madness, fade him and start M.Short instead with the cash.

Warming up to this "Structure" ...
Its more that I just dont particularly rate the keepers and would rather spend that money on an extra quality all rounder/bowler

Inglis surely stays with the test squad then youve got Duckett missing Round 1 a hit and miss Philippe and Siefert and Hope at 150K who are unproven in our conditions, who do you even want to own?

A question:
I won't be able to devote as much time as I'd like to the BBL this year - it's only today I've started a team - so I'll not be joining any leagues but I'd like to be part of the SCS Group.
And I can't find the code.
Could someone please help me?
Or is it too early?

Jack Wood has signed with Brisbane Heat (17th player)

Few notes

-Brisbane Heat was looking to sign a bowler as the 18th signing but with McSweeney called in to Aus they look to sign a batsman.
In the mix Angus Lovell, Jack Clayton, Lachlan Hearne and Hugo Burdon, Daniel Drew and Tom Whitney Heat will need at a few local replacement players anyways so a few could get signed.

- Bryce Jackson likely to sign as Mitch Marsh LRP -

Heat optimistic Michael Neser will be available for the start of BBL.

- Stars on the hunt for a bowler for Scott Boland LRP & Wicketkeeper-batter Liam Blackford linked to the club.
- Dan Christian 130 off 164 balls playing for University of NSW on the weekend still eying a comeback to BBL
