Looped Harper thanks to Doran. Stoinis and Curran on the bench this round. Two wickets too many for M Short so far but thankful Overton was able to keep pace. Expect Bazley to drop out of my 11 but was struggling to find a replacement for McKenzie around that price range.

Excellent from Overton (C) Thornton and Bazley given no M Short. The 7 from Richardson to ideally drop out when Tye plays. Hopefully Renshaw can go close on his double to matching the total from last night.

Was flying back from rainy Queensland Saturday afternoon, saw the little green tick on my C loop and 0 to get Harper off the bench (Shaw) about 1 min before lockout, managed to get the C off him, but was 2 seconds too late to swap him with Seifert, 50 points gone...

Connelly, Behrendorff, Rogers/O'Neill and Zampa left, Richardson would have been handy.

Sounds like a well thought out plan to me , especially if you don't want Peirson (possible JS concerns now) or Philippe for DGR 3.

Gives you more flexibility for next round as well.

Just make sure Banton is in the Final XI tonight.

Why would Peirson have job security issues? He basically won Heat there 1st game off his own bat. I hope you are wrong as I traded him in this week for JFM preparing for round 3.

Once Banton comes in it will be either Peirson (or Bryant) that makes way if they stick to 5-6.

Munro , McSweeney , Renshaw would be locks so 2 spots remaining.

I hope I am wrong also as I also own Peirson , brought him in Round 1 , was between him and Renshaw.

Like many also started Abbott to try and get "ahead" of Round 3 so Harry Hindsight tells me that is a waste now.

Although if Prestwidge was a late in (for Banton) maybe they were going to change to 6-5 🤔

Depends on which of he and Richardson they hold over for a concussion sub I guess. Richardson would be my guess as he’s got a longer flight to be available for the scorchers that night. That said, there’s no reason why they shouldn’t release one of them the night before if they know the XI.

From what I gather they seem to be heavily prioritising the national side, with the Big Bash a secondary consideration (which actually makes sense to me).

I would hold Abbott over. He was ahead of Jhye in the queue, is actually fit enough to play without issue if required, and is a better batsman and fielder.

Doesn’t mean they’ll do that though!

If he didn’t have the double in round 4 I’d move him on. But I might just tough out the money lose just to save a trade in future rounds

Very likely to trade him next round. Then back in for round 4 after he drops some more cash.

I am not holding someone on a single round worth that much (with a high BE) when it will restrict which DGW players I can get for Round 3. Will get him back in Round 4 hopefully at another discount. I will be holding Overton though due to his form and role in the team though.

I have had him all along. The double and his role means he is a must hold until at least after Rd4 imo. He has been poor by his standards and still getting reasonable scores. A monster is just around the corner I think.

I've seen people suggest the strategy of getting Maxwell in for him, then back out, and hope he's a bit cheaper come next DGW. The issue for me is that maxwell has a higher breakeven than short. For me, the only reason you bring in maxwell, is if you feel he has significantly the highest projected score to captain next week. I looked at my projected tradeouts for next week, and there are only 4 players I can trade out that don't have a double in the next 2 weeks. They are Allen, Richardson, Doran and Konstas. So I'm probably more focused on who I can bring in from the guys that I can take out. Therefore, If I want to maximise doublers, my aim is to take out as little doublers as possible (unless I don't intend to bring them back in).
