Couldn't have asked for a much better game to end the round, Maxwell 113, new recruit Abbott with 99, new recruit Webster 59 and Edwards with a respectable 48. Was counting on Brown to play to get 11 because of having 4 canes, so very thankful that I could not only hold pace but potentially have a good rank improvement.

Warner 140(vc)
Rogers 119
Maxwell 113
Abbott 99
Zampa 87
Johnson 81
Webster 59
Allen 49
Edwards 48
Agar 24
Up 2054 to 2094, was struggling for motivation after making some poor moves at the start on top of some bad luck.
Was hoping to trade in some Scorchers but the weather isn't looking great for that game so thinking about a plan b.

Edwards C 48x2

Stoinis great with the ball today after his first failure with the bat. Edwards did well in the bowling innings and had a great opportunity to make a quick 20 but fell for 9. Would’ve been incredibly handy. Still not happy about his dismissal. Wasn’t all that conclusive and I’m a fan of “benefit of the doubt goes to the batter”, but there’s every chance my Edwards captaincy tinted glasses were swaying me to that conclusion!

The Edwards v Stoinis captaincy choice only cost 9 points. The real jackpot would’ve been if I went through with Sutherland.

Feel like it’s an above average score. Good for the top 10/20/50/100/etc. hopes, but took a hit in the 1st overall aspirations as I see @Dravid with a mammoth 916! So I’ll be a minimum of 137 (was 66) behind 1st overall since we were tied for 5th. Well done mate! Don’t want to go the early crow but I’d assume you’d be number 1 and probably have some cushion too.
Held rank, nice. Got a bit nervous I’d drop a bit for a second there when all these 800+ scores were getting posted. 5 SCS members in the top 7 :eek:

812 with Edwards as C. Thunder inclusions did not go as planned when the likes of Richardson, etc were under consideration as alternatives. Ended up fielding Harper over Davies which I would have preferred to avoid if Walter was available or if a washout was avoided. Renegades bowlers excellent along with new recruit Neser and solid from the Sixers and Stars.

Rank halved.

Very happy with my score as I jumped up 160 spots to 310th so my green arrow streak continues. Not sure how I keep doing it as it might not last forever but here's hoping.

Was at the AO for majority of the night (last 3 nights really) but then managed to sneak into the game just after the 10th over of the 2nd innings as it was a very short walk and was not disappointed! Going into the round with just 1 Thunder was mighty scary but dodged a massive bullet. It's finally nice to have a trade in go big for once in POD recruit Abbott. Kerr a nice handy 80 odd but ofc, I had to captain the lowest scorer in Edwards when I should have gone Abbott!

Congrats to our new number 1 overall leader Dravid! And well done to the scs names I also recognise just behind him in the top 10.

I nearly dropped my phone when I saw this ranking!

Seriously kissed this round, no other way to put it.

Trades:
Thornton > Ferguson
K Richardson > Christian
Lynn > M. Marsh

Swing and a miss with the big Bison, which may be a blessing in disguise with the rain around Sydney on Saturday.

Congrats to @Dravid for taking the lead overall! 3 rounds to go!

697 Dwarshius

Game 1: 1/200 - Christian (e taken), Renshaw (e taken), WAgar (v not taken), Billings, Green
Game 2: 2/253 - Sutherland, Zampa, Bethell (excluded)
Game 3: 4/0 - Christian, WAgar, Billings, Green, Chaudhary (bench)
Game 4: 4/244 - Maxwell, Stoinis, Edwards, Dwarshius (c), Kerr (bench ), Shaw (bench)

Last 2 captains scores of 16 (Sutherland) & 13 (Dwarshius) sums up my season. Both bowled 4 overs and didn’t take a wicket or earn an ER bonus and both batted for a total of 13 runs. This was after my V of WAgar each round scored 4 and 24. Clearly my ticket to the SCS success party got lost in the mail.
