I'd say whitney, the hype coming out of qld cricket about him is insane, our golden child right now. not the best white ball bowler yet, but qld could look to give him experience for a while.

Wood won't ever bowl, but can hit a long ball, and prestwidge bowls rapid but is probably not a good enough bowler, but can hit a long ball.

Don't think any have season long job security no matter what they do though.
Agree with these thoughts. Just realised I can't move to the bowlers line, so it's either Wood or Drew. Going to go Wood. Feels like a lottery between those 2. But at least Wood has the DPP if he turns into a huff

Thoughts on just trading Wildermuth down to a basement loop?

I find the extra loop player to be very handy and since there are limited byes this year, they could be used more than we think.

Forgot to mention it last night, but it was really good to see what Konstas did last night (despite not picking him in my team). I think it was last season (maybe the one before) there was only 1 new Australian based player in the entire BBL - should be blooding more young cricketers rather than relying on 40 year olds to fill spots.

The challenge for teams with a good start is finding high values players worth trading.
Take for example, would you trade Webster or Sutherland? One is losing cash with a double in Rnd 3, the other is making cash with a bye in Rnd 3. You could argue to keep either or trade either.
How do you get Overton, short, Inglis, Dorf this week? How do you get Abbott, Walter, Edwards the round after?

Edit: I forgot Maxwell as a Rnd 3 option.
Is 4/843 a good enough start for me to have a say here?

Marsh only bowled 2 overs yesterday, on a day where one of Australia's main bowlers went down. With Hazelwood out, can't see them resting Starc (or Cummins) and they now have back to back tests at the end of a long series. If Marsh can't bowl, Webster becomes an option and based on what CA have done, he might not play BBL at all.

You can't get them all, particularly if you want to generate some cash for the back end.
Hence my final paragraph.
