Hard to believe how poorly this round has played out since Friday night.

Three absolute guns all going off at once, while I don't have a single player going over 50.
Sutherland 48
Behrendorff 45
Philippe 39
Overton 37
Stoinis 19
Edwards 4
(Buckingham 38)
(Bethell 25)

Obviously got my best C option by a distance so it could have been a lot worse. The one thing this did save me from was bringing in Hardie with my third trade - who would have been an on field 0!

Meanwhile traded out Turner, Connolly and Patterson for a combined 190...

557 Stoinis

Game 1: 4/198 - Chaudhary, Jordan, Green, Billings (e taken), Christian (e), Agar (e), David (bench)
Game 2: 1/0 - Edwards (excluded), Kerr (bench)
Game 3: 2/53 - Overton (v), Doggett
Game 4: 5/306 - Maxwell, Zampa, Sutherland, Bethell, Stoinis (c)

Managed to post a non-embarrassing score thanks to Maxwell and some gifted points to Zampa and Sutherland. For the second consecutive round I had to pick a captain from the final game and picked the worst of many options. This week it was Stoinis (19) who was even outscored by Bethell who got 1 over (somehow) and 1 run. Last round it was Dwarshius (13). Sutherland gave me 16 the round before that. If there was a respectable way to exit the game after Stoinis went out for 18 caught 1 metre short of hitting a six I would have taken it.

Finally, for the first time ever, I was so paralysed by continually making poor decisions I only used 2 trades this round. I left one for a doughnut if Overton (v) gave me a worthy score. When he didn't it left me in the position of potentially trading one of my game 4 players. I was so convinced whoever I traded out would go large that I couldn't do it. It would probably have been Zampa (for Webster) but might have been Maxwell (for Rogers).

Something that did go right, given my round was going poorly, I decided to undo my Zampa trade out to switch to trading Stoinis out instead. All in an attempt to try and POD my team up.

Some are disappointed with much higher scores than me, but I prefer to see it as an opportunity to try and be different. High risk, given it will be a low percentage play to achieve success, but might as well have a bit of fun trying.

My points PSI was 39.2, which was just over half last round’s 72.8. It shows the quick change between ups and downs in BBL. Bring on the new round!

701 (Sutherland) @ 58.4 PSI (54.4 Season)

Decided to switch out my original 2 KFC INs (Rogers & Webster) for the ALDI variety (Zampa & Seifert) to leave enough ITB to grab both Short & Smith next round should I wish to go there. Was accepting a points loss for the game so pleasantly surprised I came out in front.

Already have 3 Hurricanes with 3 Stars and 2 donuts for next round. Will run a loop on each line for the 1st game and decide on my trade ins pending their scores. Can also see what my Hurricanes VC score before deciding on Short & Smith. Lots of options at play for my team and with no double header, I will not be rushed into a decision either way.

Congrats to all the great scores posted to date, exciting times for our coaches at the pointy end.

506 (Overton...)

Missed out on 26 points by fielding Bethell over Philippe and looping Dorff in over Johnson.

Just been a poor back half of the year. Luck hasn't been on my side since R4 it feels like, just every 50/50 has been lost, not a lot has gone right.

However, I did hold CC which was nice but that's the only real positive out of this week.

Got really nothing to lose from here on out, so will likely just go my hardest this Round and see what damage I can do.

6/311(Sutherland), assuming the Mcdermott 0 drops out.
Started ok aside from Mcdermott except for one thing, Warner out.
Got rid of Warner to allow me to keep Agar as an e loop and have more options assuming that the Sixers Scorchers game was gonna be rained out. Abbott 94 was great, 2/2 nice scores since I've traded him in but also had to deal with Edwards 4.

Mixed feelings overall, Warner went out for Owen but he was on my emergencies so didn't count to my score, also avoided a few players that I would have considered as trade in targets, Richardson(4) Hardie(0) Neser 22 and getting lucky with fading Overton(37), along with trading out Allen(15).

Will be happy if I can hold ground this round and hopefully build to a top 1000 finish.
Just back from Stars Gades, first bbl game in a while, what a performance by Maxwell!

Finished up on 691(Sutherland)
Missed on the captain and had Edwards 4 in my team but aside from that can't complain, solid performance across the board with some good performances.
Maxwell 135
Sutherland 96(48x2 c)
Abbott 94
Zampa 60
Johnson 57
Chaudhary 55
Meredith 53
Rogers 52
Jordan 48
Webster 37
Edwards 4

Congrats to our coaches up at the pointy end, fingers crossed we can get another winner!

691 Short (12 SI @ 57.58), Edwards drops out

Decent score but way too many stinkers on field that it's hard not to feel a little disappointed.

Short great trade in although annoyed I traded Connolly out instead of Bartlett. Had it in my mind the whole time that the Scorchers game was going to be rain effected. I guess the positive I can take out of it is I have someone to trade now.
