Tye and Lynn would go for Rashid and Carey. McCullum to Neser.

Jewell and Sangha seemed to be in the starting sides of predicted XIs on twitter. Early DGRs make them pretty attractive. Bryant would be iffy but we'll know the sides first up so can easily change him up.

Short's too hard to leave out for me - bats and bowls, also don't want the headache of having to bring him in for R3. My out would be Short to Jofra if cash is needed later in the round. Otherwise, McCullum or Buttler down if Bryant isn't named.
You will be laughing if Bryant , Jewell & Sangha are all named and can rotate them through their DWG.

Luckily the Heat play first so you can adjust.

Now reading Bryant/Heazlett may open with one of Burns , Lynn or McCullum.

Suspect Jewell will be fighting with Doran or extra bowler for that last spot. (Short , Wade , McDermott , Bailey , Faulkner , Milenko , Botha , Archer , Mills , Rose + 1)

Keen on Sangha myself if Buttler plays as a batsmen only and Lenton keeps is their a spot for him (Patterson , Buttler , Watson , Root , Ferguson , Gibson/Sangha , Lenton + the Bowlers.

I have been looking at trading Tye to Short in Week 3 but like how you have them both.

Bloody amazing side if those 3 cheap batsmen play.

If Bryant does miss out , and Jewell and Sangha are named another option could be just to pick Sutherland and open up your DPP and swap Pope with Lamichhane

nice looking side , think the 3 cheap WK is the only way to get in 6 big guns plus Dorff & NCN.

No Tye :-(

any reason why no Patto ?
Double bye and already having sufficient Heat players is a large deterrent from selecting Pattinson.

Just noticed Arjun Nair in the playing list for Thunder ?

Has he been cleared to bowl again ?

Could impact Sangha's opportunities.

Has the Dubai T20 tournament been cancelled
yes it has , wow , could not find buyers for 3 of the 5 teams

unbelievable , wonder how that affects players now being available for the Big Bash

maybe de Villiers is coming :)

Miller , Morgan , Russell , Sangakkara , Shahid Afridi were the 5 Icon players signed + Steve Smith.

apparently 500 players had registered interest

If I was in PR, I would advise that CA should allow Smith and Warner to play BBL, and force basement SuperCoach prices in them. They’d be in everyone’s team and have people get used cheering for their success.

But, I don’t work in PR.

instead the Bangladesh Premier League benefits from having Warner play in their T20 Tournament.

Given the UAE T20X has been cancelled , CA should be allowing teams to have 3-4 overseas players in teams , if our own International players can only play 1-2 games a season , at least get some quality here and sign up more of the World's best players.

Ok, he’s where I am for now...

Lynn, Bravo, Willey,McCullum, Henriques (Edwards, Sangha)
Buttler (Dunk)
Tye, Khan, B’dorf, Qadir, ur Rahman (Pattinson, Lamichhane)

To get Bravo I had to sacrifice one of NCN/Dorf to Qadir.

I assume you will play Pattinson onfield (swapping Qadir & Edwards) so then maybe go Henriques to a cheaper bennch option

or Buttler - > Handscomb could allow you both NCN/Dorff

don't mind this setup

Lynn, Carey, Agar * , Coulter-Nile *, Usman Qadir* (Neser * , Sangha)

Handscomb (Dunk)

Tye, Stanlake, Behrendorff, Mujeeb Ur Rahman , Pattinson (Lamicchane , Edwards *)

$ 83,600.00 in the Bank

Week 2 Trades

Lynn - > Archer
Mujeeb - > Rashid
??? - > ???

Week 3

would need to target Short, Denly and one other Cane/Sixer or Thunder

so the info I have found says that after Nairs' 90 day suspension in January , he has had stress fractures in his back but is due to return to bowling for Fairfield against Manly this weekend.

Kinda lessens my appeal for Sangha is Nair/Watson are going to be the Thunder's 5th/6th bowling option behindg Sams, Sandhu, Fawad and Green.

if they play Lenton as the keeper I can't see Sangha in the starting XL.

Gold Coast's debut something 'a bit different' for T20I

Pitch and conditions
The Gold Coast Stadium curator Kerry Betihavas has made it clear he is trying to prepare a surface as brimful of runs as possible, eyeing off the possibility of 200-plus scores for the ground's international debut. Possible evening thunderstorms are forecast.

Stats and Trivia
  • Gold Coast Stadium becomes the fifth international venue in Queensland, after the Exhibition Ground and the Gabba in Brisbane, Cazaly's Stadium in Cairns and Tony Ireland Stadium in Townsville

BBL|08 Player Profile – Mujeeb Ur Rahman
November 16, 2018 Josh Schonafinger Fantasy Big Bash

Who is Mujeeb Ur Rahman?

This is a question a lot of Australian cricket fans will be asking this summer.

And it’s a very valid question, too.

The Afghanistani 17-year-old has only been on the scene for just over a year but has made waves wherever he’s played.

Mujeeb bowls flat, skiddy off spinners, which have proven hard to get away.

He took 14 wickets in 11 games for Kings XI Punjab in the most recent IPL, and his economy was an impressive 6.99.

Mujeeb then joined up with Hampshire for the English Vitality Blast, where he found wickets harder to come by, claiming only nine in 12 matches.
But his economy remained low, an impressive 7.09.

Finally in October he took 12 wickets in nine games in the Afghanistan Premier League.

So although his age may be a concern for you, he’s undoubtedly played plenty of twenty20 cricket this year.

Under the leadership of Brendon McCullum at the Heat he’ll get plenty of wicket-taking opportunities, so he could be a decent left-field selection.

He’ll set you back $93,800 in SuperCoach BBL. Will you be picking him?

Henriques currently putting on a clinic against Queensland in NSW's Shield match.

114no off 123 balls including 19 fours. He's certainly in form.
Is he though? I was just thinking that this performance only further muddies the water on what has been a pretty hot and cold form. Can't complain too much at his price, but here are his innings from recent to oldest:

JLT Shield:
7 (SR 21.88)
23 (SR 50)
5 (SR 1.43)
12 (SR 70.9)
47 (SR 64.38)
JLT ODI:
134 (SR 100)
24 (SR 141.18)
77 SR (114.93)
16 (SR 69.57)
5 (SR 31.25)
