It is true that KPFs have good and bad days and so averages can be misleading. But there does seem to be a pattern with Buddy against certain teams. For example, even though Buddy scored over 100 50% of the time over the past 2 years, his scores in 4 games against Geelong: 89, 95, 85, 93.

On the other hand, he seems to uniformly do well against:

Melbourne: 140, 108, 132
Brisbane: 118, 132
Port Adelaide: 113, 114, 162
Bulldogs: 109, 118
St Kilda: 131, 122
Carlton: 130, 103
Even tho they shattered me in 2011 cats are a great team.
I think with scarlet gone and the cats not holding back with youth buddy will a score better against them and to be honest he one of a few players that can't be stopped when he turns it on,
Actually he is the one player that can't be stopped when he's really going.

Hard to judge buddy by stats. If he gives away less free's and can kick straighter he'll hit a tone again.

Lonergan should hold him well, but a good score is possible. A lot depends on Buddy himself. He is hard to predict.

So Buddy averaged about the same as T.Cotchin last year ... if you could pick Cotchin as a forward would you?
I am pretty sure the answer is almost a unanimous yes ...

Almost definitely a lock from my perspective ...

I'm back on Buddy i think with SJ out for the first week. I think if he can manage to fire early (maybe the hawks will be hungrier after last year), he could actually turn out to be a POD... in fantasy football circles anyway. I believe the masses will still be picking him.
