I get the feeling Watto takes a liking to Kerrigan. LOL :)

76 off 71 for him, Rogers playing a role at the other end.

I think, through the osmosis karma that happens with fantasy sport teams, that I just saved Watsons career.

Nothing has gone right in the Sportal comp for me it seems!...
- Test 1, Clarke C, nada
- Test 2, Cook C, nada
- Test 3, Swan C = okish, Rogers out for Kwahaja = bad move
- Test 4, Swan C = okish, Rogers still out = still bad move
- Test 5, Clarke C = meh so far, Rogers back in, Wato out for Faulk = Wato 176

Did not see much of last nights play but Kerrigan at times looked embarrassing on the little I saw. Given the dead rubber and the context of what Watson was facing not overly excited of the 176 but good innings nevertheless. Still find it hard to get my head around we only seem to have 3 truly specialist bats in side. Warner, Rogers and Clarke. Steve Smith and Watson I still look at as closer to all round types rather the top order batsman but good luck to them while it lasts.

Kerrigan has inspired every young player that they too can play for England.

I tell you what, Blind Freddy could have hit him around the ground just like Watto did.
His approach to the bowling crease is extremely slow and he just lobs it up there, either full not he half volley or short and belted to the fence. I only saw Woakes' first spell and he seemed to either bowl half volleys outside off or short stuff that on the slow wicket sat up and said hit me!!

Yep, England playing two first game hacks is a big part of why Watson got the score he did. They came on when he was still struggling and allowed him to relax and get his eye in. Broad and Anderson bowled really well first up, with Rogers and Watson doing just enough to see them off.

Well it is done and dusted - well done to England.

Bring on the Aussie summer - I am ready for some Melb sun, beers and bbqs and some competitive Test cricket!

Yep looking forward to the summer ahead, and also the ODI and T20 series still to come in England.

Hopefully we put on a bit better performance on our home tracks, hopefully the groundsman around the country have been told to produce hard and fast tracks where our pace attack can really have a good crack at the Poms. Need to get Pattinson fit and firing for the return leg as well, a very important bowler who in his couple of test in the UK didn't show them how good he really is.

If England team urinates at the MCG then give Warner the license to punch out the entire Lions team

Highest International T20 score by batsman

Watching a bit of this first T20 v Poms this morning and just bashathon by Aaron Finch.
He's already on 128 and beat previous highest score. He slowed down a bit in 90's as he got a bit nervous but now past hundred hard to see ball stay within the ropes much in last few overs.

Congrats Finchy, and finally an Aussie win!!!

Just before he left on the Aus A tour he came down my way and did a bit of work with me and a couple of others for the diamonds in the bush program. A top bloke, who for such a young player will be a great coach even at the early stages, he knows his stuff and its great to see him perform on the big stage.

Pure accident I realized it was on myself. Was just checking through EPG on tv flicking through week ahead seeing stuff I may want to record and watch later and seen on GEM that middle of morning T20 game was on. I guess we are so used to games from England starting around 8pm at night unusual to even look what is on very early in morning. Otherwise would have missed it myself and I tend not to watch much T20's so lucky I caught this little gem of an innings myself. He is so stocky and strong forearms you know if he gets onto them they go out of the ground. It was funny how Warner went out. He went for big hit but never really had his timing last night and the bat flew out of his hand to around mid wicket and ball skied in opposite direction and caught. Simon O'Donnell and Rod Marsh last guys I seen do that. Warner reminds me so much of Rod Marsh. Last night it was stocky little Finchy's turn to shine. I never think he will go well at long form of game but he is perfect player for T20 and One day matches.
