Most have been some recovery by Buttler (75) & Woakes (84*)
Still think their balance is wrong , need 5 specialist batsmen + Stokes , Buttler at 7 given Burns , Sibley & Pope are still finding their feet at this level.
Crawley or recall Bairstow , try Lawrence
Love to know Root's stats over the last 2 years.

Thought McDermott looked alright when he first got picked a few seasons ago (didn't he get run out 2-3 times in a row ?) , seems to have stalled since.
With Finch , Warner , Smith entrenched in the Top order not much room for the other 3.
Still can't believe Wells doesn't get a look in for the T20 side.
Too many top order bats instead of finding specialists 4-6 although I guess Maxy can float , if they decide on Marsh/Stoinis again.
Is Carey still at 5 ?
1 other bat , Labuschagne ???
I can't even remember our last T20 or ODI side to be honest
Nesser would be handy in England.
Curious to see if Sam's can translate to the next level.
A few weeks ago I was reading England have the same problem with Banton , Livingstone , Salt and co , no room at the top , trying to turn them into middle order bats but they want to keep opening up the top for their counties.
With Finch , Warner , Smith entrenched in the Top order not much room for the other 3.
