Jason Roy confirmed by Perth Scorchers.

Their 18 man Squad is now complete.

Interesting signing given how successful Inglis & Livingstone were opening last season.

Not sure how Agar , Bancroft , Green , Marsh , Patterson & Turner all fit at 4 - 7.

Potentially if the Heat manage to avoid an early bye.

A few of us last season were critical of how and when they were utilising Mujeeb and if that changes this season then it could provide the opportunity for more wickets and thus a higher SC average. Also, was serviceable with the bat on a few occasions and if the Heat continue their all out approach then it should bode well for him to receive some bonus points with the bat.

Good points. From memory he’s now close to (if not) the number one T20 bowler in the world, so you’d hope they use him properly. And hopefully AB being out gives them more opportunity to play him.

Equally Brisbane’s play was the height of stupidity at times last season, so it might be somewhat like picking Dunkley and expecting Bevo to play him in the mids.

Looking at the draw I reckon they will have a bye in Round 1 given their first game isn't until match 7, which should OK to manage.

Batting wunderkind Will Pucovski has finally made the move to the Big Bash after signing with the Melbourne Stars.
It’s the first BBL contract for the talented 22 year-old who has twice been on the verge of Test selection in recent summers on the back of mammoth scores in the Sheffield Shield for Victoria.

Pucovski, who is currently in Adelaide with the Victorian squad, has also battled mental well being and concussion issues and has twice had to step away from cricket, including last summer when he was set to picked in the Test team to play New Zealand.

He has avoided Big Bash deals to concentrate on red ball cricket, but has signed with the Stars in order to increase his experience at the top level.

“I’m grateful to the Stars for giving me this opportunity to be involved in the BBL,” he said.

Hopefully he has a good experience in the BBL. Maybe the short format will ease some of the pressure and work well for him.
