Pucovski hit on the helmet again, retiring hurt - maybe concussed again :(:(:(
Yeah, they just showed it on the news. Not sure they will risk him for the first test as he has had a history of concussions. Horribly unlucky if he misses.

Australia’s Test preparations have been rocked by another disturbing concussion to promising batsmen Will Pucovski a week out from the opener’s likely Test debut.

Pucovski, long regarded as one of Australia’s most promising young batsmen, retired hurt on 23 after being clipped by a bouncer delivered by fringe Indian seamer Kartik Tyagi in the tour match between Australia A and the Indians at Drummoyne Oval.

The 22-year-old has a history of head injuries, with Tuesday’s blow a ninth concussion in his young career.

Pucovski was struck attempting a pull, and slumped to his hands and knees where he stayed for roughly 90 seconds while being attended to by team doctor John Orchard.

Encouragingly, Pucovski was able to make his way from the field unassisted – though looked unsteady on his feet as he reached the grandstand for further assessment.

Australia is already in the midst of a top-order injury nightmare, with regular opener David Warner almost certain to be sidelined for the start of the Test series with a groin injury, while there’s uncertainty around the availability of Mitchell Starc (personal leave) and Josh Hazlewood (back complaint).

Pucovski won't be playing the second "A" game.

Selectors were hoping to announce the team tonight.

Some members of the Test Squad still flying to Adelaide tomorrow as per the original plan.

@Shannon

How about Maddinson as a option to open if they don't call up Khawaja or Marsh.

Bancroft ?

Surely they can't pick Burns at any rate.

Maddinson just hasn't had the chance to get a proper hit this season with Pucovski and Harris (plus even Handscomb) doing majority of the damage for the Vics in their two shield games. Got to feel for him, because just hasn't had the chance to press his case, which is incredible to think given he was batting at 4 for the Vics haha.

I was just looking at some different names.

Not sure why they didn't add a player when Warner first got injured.

Have to feel sorry for Pucovski.

No way they can pick Burns.

Not convinced Harris (or Bancroft) is up to this level.

Probably a bit hard to get someone to come in now and try and prepare for a pink ball test , unless they add players to the 'A' Squad.

I still would have gone Khawaja once Warner was injured.

Langer might be a option 😀

Who is that other opener from Queensland ? Bryce Street

Based on the lack of a replacement being named for Warner and the naming of the A Squad , I think we will see Burns opening in Adelaide 😓
