Aspinall lucky to get a spot. Tough part is I think Anderson and Wright at their current ages would prefer a lighter schedule and less travel whilst some of the other major winners are not as marketable or did not manage regular deep runs in tv tournaments.

Glorified exhibition and the repeated matchups takes away the allure when they meet in other tournaments. Would much prefer to see the challengers return to the format, multiple leagues (promotion and relegation) or on the “exhibition” side a Royal Rumble type event with past players, celebrities, tour card holders and say the top 16. Tickets selling out shouldn’t be an issue and provides a great way to introduce a greater group of players to casual fans.

Given the logistics, is not as great a money spinner but an interesting concept nonetheless.

Probably get a preview of some of it in the Bahrain and Dutch Masters.
