15 left. Using the same strategy as last year to trade aggressively early in the season to try to maintain my strong start and keep the cash ticking over so I do not need to chase undesirable picks. Mahrez was used as a cash grab a few rounds ago and I missed the news of his benching, as otherwise he would have been traded back to Ronaldo with Fernandes upgraded to a Ward-Prowse who I have been eying off for quite some time due to his consistency or back to De Bruyne again.

As per previous seasons, that'll be the last of my GW roundup as I take my annual sabbatical from all things fantasy. I trust that some of you have found them to be a useful aid to guide you through the first half of the season. I will not be keeping records for the remainder of the season.

Post Christmas captaincy average of 1 thanks to a 2 from Salah, joining the 0 from Cancelo the previous round. Missed the Mahrez news and unfortunately James and Reguilon combined for 2 points. Thankfully, the quartet of Cancelo, Ederson, Mount and Kane combined for 56 to lessen the fall.

As per my earlier update yesterday, CR7 was the main one I wanted to have a quiet game to help my ranking. He didn't, and I think quite a few would have had him with the C.
Hopefully everyone managed to make it through the first round of the eliminator. My 2nd round opponent scored 67, so it seems even low scores were good enough if you had the right opponent.
