I’ll tell you now and I’ll tell you firmly
I don’t never want players from Burnley
What they do there don’t concern me
Why would anybody make the journey?
Well, the EPL club I used to support before being relegated was Blackburn, and Burnley are one of their rivals (they are quite close together in the north of England). I can agree to that. :)

I don't follow them closely now, but it looks like Blackburn are having a decent year for once - currently 3rd in the Championship. I might actually have an EPL club to follow again next season rather than being neutral (although I still think it is unlikely they get promoted). That would be a change.

Score: 171
Rd Rank: 115
Overall Rank: 32 (from 41)

Wonderful performance from new recruit J Ward-Prowse as captain but the same cannot be said for M Antonio. 94 points from the quintet of Cancelo, Ederson, Raphinha, Alexander-Arnold and Fernandes was very helpful to compensate for the two donuts with the postponement of the Tottenham match.

Current formation:

Had planned on Salah to King but if the match with Burnley does not go ahead, then it is likely I will hold trades.
Just realised I have James, Mount and Lamptey unavailable next round with byes. With the fixture change for Watford, I would prefer to bring forward my planned King trade in the hope he can bag a goal or two against Norwich tomorrow morning and to avoid playing Ward-Prowse against Man City. Since Antonio failed on his double and does not provide much use for the remainder of the season (past WK26) should I trade him instead of Salah as I would prefer to keep Salah for the remainder of the season in my aim to conserve trades (13 left before King) and improve my current ranking (32)?

Yeh keep Salah. There is a gap inbetween next GW, so he may only miss this and 1-2 more.

I have been a little sidetracked … can anyone help me turn this ship around?

Mendy (Senegal) and Salah (Egypt) are still at the Africa Cup of Nations tournament, with Mahrez returning as Algeria have been eliminated but he might not be back in time for the match this weekend or if Pep opts to rest him instead.

Since cash is no issue and Havertz has rarely been used over the past 4-8 rounds, I would recommend trading R Mahrez to a Watford forward such as E Dennis or J King in preparation for the double next round and using the cash banked along with your remaining salary to turn Havertz into Raphinha. Their respective opponents this round are Norwich and Newcastle which bodes well for receiving an attacking return. Cop a donut in the goalkeeper position for the time being as the other positions should compensate for the absence. If you are interested in a goalkeeper other than Ederson (Man City) then I would recommend E Martinez from Aston Villa. The -3 scored in RD19 exits his price cycle this round and they have very nice upcoming fixtures for the remainder of the season.

Chelsea have already played their first game , so Havertz is locked out
