Toney keeps on getting it done. He scored a brace on the weekend, and followed up with the assist this morning.
Pretty locked into Son and Salah, and if he continues at this rate then will be hard to ignore Toney for the 3rd spot

A few things from friendlies played over the last couple of days.

Sema scored for Watford yesterday. Near basement priced mid. Predicted to start left wing.
Che Adams scored a double after coming on for Ings. Probably more of an FPL pick.
Tierney on at HT and scored this morning against Watford. Bachmann left the game on 65mins at 1-1, and then Arsenal piled on 3 more.
Son goal and assists Alli in the Spurs 3-1 win.
Toney assists first goal and then Mbeumo comes on and scored in 2-2 vs Man U. Wan Bisakka assists 1st United goal.
Tierney is another I looking at, I prefer to start attacking defenders and who take set pieces, As Arsenal play before Man Utd, I would want to be confident Shaw is going to start, If I pick Shaw and he doesn’t start, then, would have to look at someone else

Got Toney in my third spot at the moment, I think he is a lock there

Who is starting Bruno Fernandes, starting price is high, is it worth not starting him and hope he price drops, at the moment got him

Would prefer not to start a player that expensive and to build my team

Doubt I will be starting Bruno. Having trouble with midfield picks without factoring in trying to pay 14mil for one of them.
Closer to it gets to kick off, more I starting to think the same, I don’t really want start anyone over 10 mil other than TAA, still have 15 days to decide

Is Sancho a lock to start in week one

Unsure, maybe a bench spot week 1?
However he looks a steal at that price if you can get away with benching him. United play the early Sat game so would know either way. Can’t see him sitting in the bench for long.

I am looking at starting Fernandes reason being it's much easier to drop him before his first price drop if he starts poorly to a mid that will make some quick cash than to find the money if he starts on fire. 14 mil is a lot though... Last season he started over 17 million! Was definitely a no at that price.

I finished 185th last season if you need an extra player for your league(s). I'm sure there are 20 on here with higher ranking than that anyway.
No probs. Have added you to my spreadsheet. As it stands, you're 25th in line. I don't think we'll get to you, as there's only a few guys I'm having problems contacting, but it's early days and I expect them to become active a few days beforehand. But I'll shoot you a PM Friday night if they haven't appeared a few hours before deadline.

Think the best of the GK loopholes is Brighton.

GW1 loop Arsenal, Brentford, Man United, Leeds
GW2 loop Liverpool, Burnley
GW3 loop Man City, Arsenal
GW4 loop Crystal Palace, Tottenham
GW5 loop more than not
GW6 play last
The best loops are usually a 3rd string GK from a team playing in Europa League, as they play Thurs night, even later than the CL teams.
I haven't had a good look ATM, but I feel Jakupovic from LEI is probably the best bet.
But be prepared to use a transfer to maybe replace the looper GK as fixtures can change, and fixtures are only up to GW6, before midweek European games start.

L Shaw:
Avg last season: 6.2 from 32
Avg under new scoring system: 9.3 from 32
Yeah, some players get excellent misc pts and will fair much better with the new pts system.
Dallas got 8 goals and 2 assists, whereas Ayling got nothing, but they're only 50 pts apart as Ayling racks up good misc pts.
I'm backing him over Dallas if the opportunity arises to grab one of them cheap.

Aaron is another who had excellent stats in the Championship last season.
Even though he's got Pool first up, he get good defensive pts.
If NOR don't concede 4, he'll surprise many.

I think I had Sema in the last team I posted a few days ago. His misc pts were excellent and he seems nailed on.
Cleverley is better than him for misc pts, but Sema had better attacking returns and less cards.
Sema's also got a few years on Cleverley, and age might get the better of Tom this season.

But I like Sergi Canos even more than the 2 above, but given I have Mbeumo, don't really want to double up, but it might not be a bad thing.
BRE remind me of Leeds from last season. The care not of reputations. They'll concede a few, but will score quite a few too.
3 from BRE is a bit much, but given their price, it's low risk. Regardless of results, I think these guys will get pts and rise in price and be a great way to flip for a DTer.

But ATM, it looks like Dele Alli has that 5th MID spot. Can't ignore a guy with proven performance in the EPL, playing for a bigger team.

As for Sancho, hopefully he misses the 1st GW and buys us an extra week as to whether we need to leave a spot for him.
If I see him starting in GW1, I honestly have no idea who I'll leave out. It'll probably be Dele as he plays last and has City anyway.

Toney 33 goals and 10 assists last season.
Sarr 13 goals and 4 assists last season.
Don't overthink it.

You need 2 big guns for capt options. Mo and TAA only give one option.
KDB is the only other option I'd consider, but he's got Spurs.
Leeds are no pushovers, but Bruno has been the best player in this game for the last season and a half.
Too many unknowns with Sancho, so he's the only one left.
I too don't like him, but the process of elimination has left him with us.
If you don't have him and others do and captain him, you could be double screwed.
It's best to hedge and follow the herd, otherwise you won't be heard of again.

Very solid advice. I am guilty of trying to spread the funds around too much, to the detriment of my side. Lack of midfield options over $9 million means I will start with Fernandes as Maddison and Grealish are the only other players in that price range of any interest.

B Fernandes-
2020-2021: 15 from 37
2019-2020: 16.1 from 14
