Anyone willing to risk picking up Motlop again? Think the couple of games at SS have flattered him. Burned me last year.
No, too many options that are more likely to score more points than him.

I owned him for the last 9 rounds of last season, in which time his scores were: 41, 119, 144, 119, 82, 64, 147, 49, 39. Still averaged an acceptable 89.3 but his spontaneous boom or bust scoring pattern was very frustrating as an owner.

I have four forward premiums plus Wells. I want both Montagna and Dahlhaus ideally to complete this line.

Montagna is the one to get this week if I'm getting both, but if I can only have one this year, I'd take Dahlhaus.

So the question is: who thinks Wells will be a forward keeper?

I think Wells will average about 92 to 95 from here on, while I expect Monty and Dahlhaus to be average about 5 to 10 points more. Hence in an ideal world I think one should upgrade Wells however if one is in danger of running out of trades having Wells end up as F6 would be a reasonable compromise.

Thanks Phil, that's probably a fair call.

I'm thinking Wells could be a good M9/F7 swing if things go well for me, perhaps F6 if I'm short on trades or cash, or if he looks like going at high 90s or above.

Is anyone else thinking of hanging onto someone like Wells or Adams as floating cover?

Barring LTI Wells would be the last out, if at all. DPP and should score at an F6 level as a minimum.

Who's willing to consider Walters? 84, 102, 116, 90 and 101 his last 5 scores. Only in 1% of teams and definite role-change as he is playing more through the midfield as Ross seems to inject some youth and clean skills through the middle. He is a very good ball user and also knows how to kick a goal. Not an elite premium in the Deledio, Martin, Zorko mould but could be a handy cheaper option, especially if he keeps the midfield role.
Downsides are that Ross could put him back in the forward pocket and he doesn't have any history to go off.

I'm done with Fremantle players this season. There's just no way to know what Ross is thinking, what game plan they have and who will get "dropped or rested".

Didn't see Port game on weekend, thoughts on Chad apart from his great price?

I brought Shaw & Dusty in RD 6 but don't have same feeling about Chad, but I can't always be right so I'm thinking of trying to counter myself being wrong so I'm right.

This was Rowsus's opinion for me last week:

While Wingard is a great price, I think you shouldn't be trading in players to play F6/7 right now. It's better to be getting players you are confident can fill a higher role.
I guess the exception might be, if you are short of Cash this week, and your team is looking weakish in this week of carnage, and Wingard is the only player you can afford, that gives you a boost in an important match up, you might do it. Otherwise, trading in a player you expect to be on your bench at the end of the season is a bit wasteful.

I'm guessing the question was important to understanding the answer.... I wouldn't bring him in to be on my bench at the end year but more for a 95-105 run home.

I was asking if Wingard's current price warrants a trade-in as my F6/F7

Yes and no. Yes in that I consider basically everyone. (I'm the one who contemplates Heeney and Darling), and no in that, after taking one look at him, I'd move on. I'd much rather a Wingard type for $100k cheaper, or spend the extra for a Deledio.

Anyone think Tippett is worth considering as an F6 at worst? Could make for good ruck coverage later in the year too.

Who would have thought that Kurt Tippett would rank 2nd for #AFLFantasy points scored among rucks behind Goldy this season?

Is Brent Harvey a good pick as a rd 15 bye forward, or will North's relatively harder run from here on affect him? I wouldn't mind a rd 15 bye forward but they seem to be thin as.

For round 15, I'd only consider Harvey and Gunston.
Definitely not a bad choice as your F6 but he could get rested if North are looking good to finish top 4.

Yeah, I'm considering it. Especially given my bye structure.

I'll put my hand up and say i didn't think Merret had it in him.
Looking good for a top 6 finish alright, Montagna great value and looking as tho he's close to bottoming out.
