What are North's supporters take on Wells and Anderson? Awkward price, would need at least 80ave to be worth taking
Also very interested on Jed Anderson and what role if any he will play for North. Maybe KLo30 can help?
Wells is our missing outside classy runner who breaks the lines with his foot skills.

Anderson is likely to play a midfield/high half forward role with his attack on the ball/contested possessions being his asset to the side. This likely sees him being a handcuff to Ziebell. Temper that assessment with the fact he first needs to break into the side, and then establish the confidence to be trusted in that role by the coaches and players.

Ignore my Hawthorn bias, but two things:

1. You don't pay such a high price for a player if you plan on playing them in the VFL
2. Jed Anderson is a jet. He will be a star and every Hawks fan was sad to see him go thanks to a lack of opportunities (think JPK at Sydney)

He will play midfield this year, and lots of it.

Good points.:) The tempering is more to do with how Brad Scott thinks, and plans to use him, rather than his ability. He's currently in my side.

Anyone considering Liam Duggan M/F $229,800?
In my team ATM.
I have him on my watch list. He will need to make a compelling argument over summer though as at his price he is an expensive cash cow, so I want to be confident he is going to moo!!

One to keep an eye out for

Jarryd Lyons (MID/FWD - $241,900)
2015: 12 games @ 44.5
Sub 8 times

Douglas names young Crows to fill the Danger void
EVEN without Patrick Dangerfield, Adelaide's midfield still has an imposing mix of youth and experience, headlined by trio Rory Sloane, Scott Thompson and Richard Douglas.

The development of Matt Crouch has excited the club's coaching panel, as has that of big-bodied midfielder Cam Ellis-Yolmen, whose combination of size and explosive pace offers match-winning potential.

Speaking to AFL.com.au, Douglas preached the idea that holistic performance would prevent the departure of Dangerfield from weakening the Crows' core.

The old heads would need stellar years, he said, but he also put it to the youngsters to take responsibility and lead their club from the front.

"A lot of guys have stood up vocally. 'Thommo' is the standout on the track with his voice but I think myself and Sloaney and Matt Crouch have really improved in that area," Douglas said.

"We've got some young guys who we're looking to fill that void; Cameron Ellis-Yolmen, Jarryd Lyons, Crouch – these sort of boys.

"If we can get some more out of them and then Brad Crouch, he's been talked about, he'll come back this year and hopefully play a role for us.

"If us older guys can have a good year, I'm sure we'll be able to fill the void.

"It's exciting that a young guy gets a chance that had probably been pushed out or been the sub in previous years."

No player on Adelaide's list fits Douglas' description quite like Jarryd Lyons.

The 23-year-old started nine of his career-best 13 games in 2015 as the sub.

He's proven himself time and time again as a contested ball winner at SANFL level and he's skillful enough around goal to play as a forward, but given the depth of the Crows' senior midfield he's struggled to break in.

"We had Kris Kringle and I think someone got him a sub's vest," Douglas joked.

"I think he (Lyons) wore it 12 times … it's hard for him to develop when he's playing probably a quarter, a quarter and a half max each week.

"He's been good around training and he's got to step up this year.

"He's got the talent, he's just missed the opportunity so this is his year, I'm sure."

12 games / 8 as sub? Sure sign that he's a good footballer but doesn't (or maybe didn't) have the tank for a full match as a AFL footballer. Suspect he could be one of those frustrating suoercoach players that will smash out 50 by half time but finish on 65-70 once he wears himself out. Also suspect the Crows midfield is a bit too deep to get real time in there every game especially with Smith and probably Seedsman looking to force their way in too and you might find him lurking around the half forward mark a bit too much.

I was ummming and arhhhing about whether I should finish that sentence, "He became very interesting just now [after I researched him]"

He may or may not end up in my team but I'd recommend people research him before saying no.

Is Luke Breust ever a chance to play in the midfield? Can remember last year NAB played through midfield a bit and did alright. Only missed a couple of games over the last 4 years too.

I'd say between the young mids they have on the sidelines, and the fact that Breust is 25 now, that he will stay as a forward. Expect him to average 82 - 86 and play most games like he's done for the past 4 seasons.

Welcome aboard Johno.
I currently have Sam Gray, but am a bit nervous as I don't know much about him and he has limited history.
4 of his 5-6 end of season high scores were against bottom teams like Melbourne,Saints,GCS,Brisbane another vs Adelaide, poor quality opposition when most of those teams knew that their season was done. Port Adel gave him and a couple others for memory a bit of a run at it to find out where they will fit in 2016, A positive is that Port coaches were quoted as saying '' well, we found out that Sam Gray is a midfielder" I haven't written him off yet but at 480k he is bloody pricey, maybe we will learn more in nab.

Cockatoo @ 172k just noticed.
Any cats fan got an opinion on his js next year.
Played 11 games this year, no sub rule next year.... could get some serious game time.
Cats threw him in the deep end last year, raw talent in bounds but looked nervous when he had the ball, came unstuck trying to make a few flashy plays happen, rushed & didn't use the ball well imo. The kid has skills but i think he lacks the maturity to calmly think his way through situations at the moment, He will get games, Reckon they'll play him plenty in nab to see what he has learn't & if his decision making has improved, watch list for me.

Interested to get peoples thoughts on how the rotation cap being lowered from 120 to 90 will affect Forwards who can ruck? Guys like Tex Walker & Drew Petrie have reportedly dropped 3-5 kgs as a result of this rule change, obviously they are expecting a lot more time on ground but will that equal more ruck work at stoppages ect for guys like Roughhead,Tippet ect ect. They would only need to pick up a few more points a game to push these 95 ish forwards up towards 100's.
Am i the only one thinking this could be a game changer making forwards who can ruck more relevant this season, would love some feedback and feel free to be blunt.

Under old ruck scoring system I think there would be greater chance of scoring spike, but unless they are efficient with there tap work I don't think it will make much difference.

I think key forwards shedding kg's is more about pushing up and back than relief ruck work eg. J.Roo last season.

I don't see the interchange cap changing much, if you remove all of the interchanges when a forward kicks a goal in the first 5 minutes of a quarter you may already be close to 100.

Is anybody else struggling to pick premiums in their forward lines?

For me there are only two that I am comfortable with for my starting team and then two that I think are too expensive to start with so will be upgrade targets.

I'm thinking of starting with a 2-2-4 setup.

Yep I'm finding it the line I am most uncertain about what to do this year. I want to take Lids but he just seems too expensive, while there are a few others whereby I have a few question marks over. At this stage I'm looking at 3-0-5 setup.
