my forwards atm: rocky, stevie j, daisy, martin
nicnat rucks
If stevie j is still a forward he will be a lock for me but im not getting my hopes up high.
SJ couldn't be classified as a forward next year, surely?
From what I'm told is 99.999999999999999% unlikely
No chance in hell of Johnson being a forward. Spent 90% of his time in the midfield (like every true midfielder).

Then i'll replace him with Bartel.
and yes probably McBean on the opposite line to NicNat.
No chance of Bartel being a forward either. Only time he was forward this year was when he kicked the match winner against North.

With my forwards I'll likely go with Rockliff, NicNat, Franklin, Christensen and Daisy. I may squeeze in Pav or Motlop if my salary cap and byes allow me too.

Who else would you have in your forward line if you had buddy around 450k?
nicnat, rockliff, martin, daisy, buddy
Dare say ill have to cut one although going a 2 prem max defence and possibly a 4 prem mid I might be able to do it. A discounted r2 will help

I'm pretty sure Buddy will be right up there on the "Captain's Choice" ownership % table. I'm guessing around 35-40% ownership in round 1, which should put him in the top 7 or 8 most popular players. And I say to you, why not?!
It would seem to be a pick with little downside. You're buying him at 90.4, and his averages since 2007 read: 91.4, 107.0, 87.9, 107.5, 110.8, 115.5 and 90.4. It would seem his worst case scenario would be break even. You generally want a 95 from your Forwards, and he has bettered that easily in 4 out of the last 7 seasons. Even if you discount his 2012 season, by removing his 236, his average that season falls to 107.5, and gives you 4 seasons that suggest his price represents a 20% discount for the coming season. Will he miss games? Probably, and that becomes a problem to deal with when it happens. Bottom line, if he's fit and selected round 1, I can't see much downside to having him in your team. :)

I am liking Christensen's improved scoring for the last 3 years

2011 - 65.8
2012 - 79.9
2013 - 92.8

but im not brave enough to pick him. Will see how he goes in 2014 and see if he is a must have in 2015. He has the ability to become a superstar. Motlop on the other hand i see him more an X-factor. Killing it one game and quite the next. BUT in 3 years, after he has finished his apprenticeship with Stevie J, I will pick him. Because he could be better then Stevie J. The apprentice may become the master.

One can't argue with such a smart supercoach coach

With another preseason I see him lifting his possession count by around 5+the fact that he gets tonnes of contested possessions makes him a lock for me.

Not convinced he'll keep DPP, but if he does then possibly. Don't think he can beat the value of the others though.
I guess you can always pick him up after the round 8 bye before he plays Melbourne and GWS in rounds 9 and 10 :D

I am a fan of Allen Christensen. Has great leaders around him and will no doubt be a leader in the years to come.

Looks like my forward will be Buddy, Dusty, Daisy, Rocky, Naty with 3 rookies :D
Unique picks is what separates you from the pack.
Is the difference of a top 10 finish and a top 5000 finish.
1 thing I learnt last season near the end was to sometimes go with your gut and not the crowd.
Nothing like shooting up the ranks on the back of your gut decision while the rest loose ground
