Which players gain most from the:

"2 for gather from hitout"?

Anyone have stats from 2014 for the most gathers from hitouts?

I believe that the "2 for gather from hitout" is actually a reduction from whatever it was given the following:

"In 2015, rather than awarding one point for all hitouts, there will be zero points allocated, but the value of a hitout-to-advantage has risen from three points to five, rewarding quality over quantity. The points allocated to the player that wins a gather from a hitout has also dropped slightly, as more credit will be given to the effective hitout."

Post #150 in the following link discusses this a little. http://www.supercoachscores.com/threads/2020-2015-Premium-Rucks/page8?p=149510#post149510

I'm gunna put this out there Mister Young, i'd say the best ever pick 75, and will probably stay that way :)
I didn't expect this choice as captain but as soon as I heard I was happy. Was really impressed by his press conference and interview on SEN. Great to see his loyalty and commitment get rewarded. Still enjoying Phil Walsh guru style and attitude, let's see if it all results in the team's improved performance!

Interesting to see that they have changed the maximum weighting multiplier from x4 to x2.

I think it's a good thing cause it will mean players can't completely lose their score in 1 quarter.

Anyone of the 'older generation' (trying to be politically correct), heard of an ex-Melbourne player named Denis Clark?

Recently met Denis and helped him break into his car (as he left his keys in the car, but window slightly down) and will be having a few beers every so and so (we are in the same building; LOL).

Denis even showed me his bent finger from playing football; lol. Funny guy!

centreman, "Boner" Clark was an important player in a disappointing era at Melbourne. He played five games in his rookie season before becoming a regular first team player.

A broken hand suffered in the 1972 pre-season kept him out for the first fortnight of the year, and he missed a further six weeks with injury during the season.

In 1976 he joined Sandringham in the VFA, where he played 81 games. In 1977 he played in their losing grand final and won the Zebras Best and Fairest. In his last two seasons, 1979 and 1980 he captain/coached the side.

Clark's son Michael played one game in Round 22, 2002

Prochard I'm only guessing you meant SC scoring changes, apologies if you actually meant AFL rule changes. (which I'm not sure there are any this year, well hopefully not anyway).

There are four SC scoring changes mentioned in the AFL Prospectus 2015...

1: Rather than awarding one point for all hitouts, there will be zero points allocated.

2: But the value of a hitout-to-advantage has risen from three points to five, rewarding quality over quantity.

3: The points allocated to the player that wins a gather from a hitout has also dropped slightly, as more credit will be given to the effective hitout.

4: The state of game weighting will be capped at a multiplier of two (instead of four), which means standing up in close games will still be rewarded but won't be as drastic as previous seasons.

Actually Jay, your reach does not just extend to breaking into cars...lol....
I bring your attention to page 266 of Prospectus

You will see on that page you have penetrated the consciousness of one mister Fantasy Freako.
I not like that saying but you have managed to have many people using it....lol

oh.. and I think Freako is wrong. Mr Wallace is not ideal loophole agent...lol
With ruck line only have 3 this year in SC it is not ideal. I suspect he wrote that before the news rucks had been reduced to one on emergency bench.

..haha OzRulesFootball, very true and well spotted.

Not only that, but Fantasy Freako has used the idiom "floating donut" in completely the wrong case!

Eric Wallace is a ruck only, and nothing else. Can't be floated anywhere.
