No mention of Corr at GWS. Is that good for Finlayson?
He did - played the first half prior to JLT2 IIRC, with no issues. Should be right for Round 1.

It's a headscratcher. I'll wait for an official update given there's also no Perryman.

Ryan Griffen likely to miss round one with ankle, maybe more, Scully (knee) and Hopper (groin) in doubt too. Lobb and Corr should be right @AFLcomau

Aidan Corr (groin) another to play 2's and get through @AFLcomau

At least we should know about Finlayson's job security. He seems like a good cash cow with dpp so quite pivotal I think.

Re Dangerfield, what's people’s strategy if he doesn’t make round one? I’m considering starting Hannebery as a replacement and sitting on the $214k spare change, a kind of try-before-you-buy arrangement where I can easily bring Danger back in straight away once fit if one of my premiums doesn’t pan out.

Hannebery has the history and after a bit of down year is cheap and only in 1.3% of teams.

Hannerbery has been in doubt for round 1 for a few weeks now.

you may want to rethink that strategy Drew.

highly likely that Hanneberry misses Rd 1 himself , been battling a calf injury.

Yep Hannebery himself has said he is against the clock to make round 1, so would probably be looking elsewhere than him.

Overall, the tactic is an interesting one. And prior to Dangerfield injury I was planning to sit on somewhere around the same amount of coin myself for any premium corrections or necessary mid-pricers that may need to have been jumped on come round 3, however, Dangerfield's injury has seen me trade him to a $600k, and turn a rookie into another premium, removing the spare change.

Switch to whichever I don't have of Martin or Mitchell and move on with my life. :D

(Update on Kreuzer and Garlett on the Blues website)

Star ruckman Matthew Kreuzer was the only casualty to emerge from the Blues’ JLT Community Series win over Hawthorn, with a rolled ankle cutting his night short.

But in reassuring news for Blues supporters, Head of Football Andrew McKay said he wasn’t concerned about the big man’s availability.

“The good part about it (ankle injury) is that it’s really mild. Matthew will start training at the back end of the week and we’re very confident he’ll be right for Round 1,” McKay said on Tuesday.

Jarrod Garlett is also in the mix for his club debut next week after succumbing to injury against St Kilda.

The exciting former Sun showed his speed and goal sense against the Saints before a knock to the shoulder saw him sidelined in the second half.

“We rested Jarrod against Hawthorn. He seems fine and we expect him to be available for selection for Round 1,” McKay said.

Hope Jarrod plays, that will help out with the Fwd Rookies.

Thanks guys re the Hannebery commentary, I’d forgotten about that, any other likely candidates?

That's probably what I’ll end up doing, but a bit of me thinks there could be a play in getting Dangerfield back in as soon as he's available, and having a “value” seat warmer in the meantime.

Aaron Hall @$507.

Would be easier to let go of knowing his history too.

The main worry with hamstrings is that they can both linger resulting in either missing games or scoring impacts, during which period someone with Martin/Mitchell is outscoring you and then you get to hope Dangerfield outscores the other two by enough to make up for it... AND that they don't get Dangerfield in themselves, in which case there's no real scoring advantage.

So many traps taking themselves out of contention, I dread to think what is going to happen to Gawn 3 minutes into round 4.
