NOW | Haggers says Dom Sheed and Luke Shuey are unlikely to play in the Derby on Sunday and Elliot Yeo may have strained a hammy.
Seems to be an unsubstantiated rumour, but owners would be nervy at the possibility of being a late out!

WEST Coast assistant coach Jaymie Graham has hosed down fears the Eagles could be without several star players for Sunday’s derby blockbuster against Fremantle.

Reports on 6PR Friday morning suggested a host of big names were under clouds for the Optus Stadium clash, including Elliot Yeo, Josh Kennedy and Dom Sheed.

But Graham reassured Eagles fans the star trio would face their crosstown rivals after an eight-day break between matches.

Does anyone have any specific information on Greenes injury (and how long he may be out)?

Hawthorns Ben McEvoy was off the ground for the last 20 minutes of the game. The commentators picked that up with 3 minutes left in the game. They weren't sure if it was time management or an injury. Only saying if your out for that long you must have a niggle. Currently in 2% of teams. No injuries recorded for either team.

Really hope Kelly is fit this week.

Had three injuries to deal with in round 4, traded out Ablett & Marchbank, kept Kelly because it sounded like his injury was the "least bad".

Well Caleb M was back last game, c'mon Josh.

Traded Kreuzer to Grundy last week, this better not be serious.

New Pie injury headache: Brodie Grundy concedes he has shin soreness, frustrated he couldn’t have major impact v Tigers .. and can’t guarantee he will play this week ... hear from him exclusively @7NewsMelbourne very soon.

Also another pie injury

Collingwood: James Aish (Knee- PCL) expected to miss 6-8 weeks

Western Bulldogs: Jack Redpath (Knee surgery) out for 10-12 weeks

Talking Footy also said apart from Grundy, Treloar pulled up sore in the groins and Petracca still in hospital with dog bite coming out tomorrow

Carnage I love it

Afl tonight - Julien Destoop reporting that Easton Wood has a hammy. 1 week possibly 2, however, Julien suggesting it could be 3 weeks for a hammy.

Afl tonight - John Ralph reporting that Daniel Rioli is expected to return via the VFL Round 8. Being the only injured Richmond player, however, he has mentioned that Trent Cotchin got a knock to the knee when he hit the behind post. They're going to assess him, so watch this space, so if he can't train tomorrow he might be a bit of a concern against Freo.

Kim Hagdorn on the money again this week, reporting in The West Australian that there will be massive outs at both the Eagles and Dockers.
- Fyfe has quit football to start a chain of cheap mens hair dressing studios.
- Shuey, Yeo and Duggans hammies literally exploded last night, ruling them out
- Lachie Neale has taken his title of ball pig too far and left perth for the country to start a pig farm. Tom Rockliff reported as being his business partner.
- Lecras, Hurn and Nic Nat were eaten by a giant octopus while surfing down at Trigg’s
- Sandi has defected to the NBL
- In positive news he said Bennell, Pavlich (Dockers) and Glen Jackovich and Peter Sumich (eagles) will be back this week

Source: I made this up, just like Haggers.

All I can think of is how big the octopus would have to be to eat NicNat.

It reminds me of a time I was swimming at City Beach and a seal swam between my legs. I didn't know what it was at first and have never moved so quickly in my life.

Explains why Grundy slowed down after quarter time, he was on 50 odd at the break if my memory serves me correct. If him not having a "major impact" is a score of 115, I'll take that every day of the week. Especially when a fully fit Goldstein can barely muster a ton. Happy for Grundy to have a week off to freshen up, long season and we are fortunate enough to have ruck cover early on this season in the form of English.

I was hoping to cull one of Naughton/Edwards this week but off the back of this news, they might have some mooing still left in them.

SUNS BLOW: LYNCH OUT FOR A MONTH

GOLD Coast has been dealt a major injury blow with co-captain Tom Lynch to miss a month with a knee injury.

Lynch, who is the hottest free agency target this season, has aggravated a knee injury - a similar issue to the PCL injury that ended his season prematurely last year.

The Suns are targeting a return for the star forward after its Round 10 bye, which follows the clash against Port Adelaide in China.

"He experienced aggravation in his right knee, it's the same PCL that he had issues with last year,"*Gold Coast football boss Jon Haines told the club's website.

"Given the history with that, we've decided to take a fairly conservative approach and Tom will take some time off to get some more strength in and around that knee area.

"At this stage we'll be looking for him to return after the bye."
